‘Correct, Islamic Austerity Leads to Allah’

Khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunna in Zahedan, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdul Hameed (may Allah protect him) began his latest Friday sermon by recitation of the Quranic verse: “والذين جاهدوا فينا لنهدينهم سبلنا وإن الله لمع المحسنين”
[And those who strive hard in us, We shall surely guide them in Our paths; verily Allah is with the welldoers.] and talked over the austerity and struggle for the next world.

Shaikh talked about the mentioned above matter saying that as people work hard to earn for their children and family members, they should strive for the betterment of the Hereafter life by conducting good deeds. If any body stays at home without earning and claim to have reliance (tawakkol) upon Allah, definitely he is wrong according to Islam and common sense as well denies it. In the same way, if anyone does not apply good deeds and says that he has trust on Allah to shift him in Jannah so it just proves his stupidity and ignorance. Allah Almighty says: “وأن ليس للإنسان إلا ما سعى”
[And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort,]
Now, in this era, we can see the result of the last prophet’s struggles and his companions’ efforts for Islam; Qur’an, Ahadeeth and history are the evidence of their efforts.

Enlightening on the ultimate results of positive and negative struggles Shaikh said, ‘Everybody will see result of his/her deeds on the Resurrection day. People will be aware of their injustice acts, disobedience, and infidelity and shirk which they committed in this world. As the good deeds of us will be showed to all people. All prophets will be present in that ground, Nouh (Alaihissalam) will be there as well who called his nation towards the right path and Allah for 950 years.’

Shaikh Abdul Hameed urged that the only way of salvation is to disobey ego (Nafs-e-Ammarah) who calls us towards the wrong and bad acts, we should strive on the way Allah by spending money and our selves.

He continued saying that Allah’s blessings on any individual is according his/her efforts. Everyone should work hard to get more and more blessings from Allah by following His rules and orders. Getting paradise is not any easy task, it requires struggle. Ego calls towards sins, you should stop it and control it always, this practice makes ego habitual to desist from badness and push you to goodness.

The rector of Darululoom Zahedan encouraged the audience to be ready to bear any sort of difficulties for the sake of Allah Almighty. Indeed, Allah smoothes the way of Jannah for those who tolerate unwanted hardships for His sake. But, abstemiousness should be under the rules and boundaries of Quran and Sunnah, other wise; it is useless; as followers of some religions do. They will not reach to Allah by their austerity which is contrary to Sunnah of the holy prophet Muhammad (Peace & blessings be upon him).

At the end of his sermon, khateeb of Ahl-us-Sunnah indicated towards the annual ceremony of graduates of Darululoom Zahedan and said that it will be held on Thursday, 30 June by the help of Allah Almighty, insha Allah. Hundreds of Muslims from inside and outside of the province will take part in this great gathering. As well as some guests are invited from foreign countries, we hope the related authorities will help us in this regard and not create problems.

Shaikh asked the Zahedani citizens to take the benefits of this opportunity by serving the guests with self and money.
