Our Troubles don’t Justify Violence, Shaikh A.Hameed

Delivering Friday sermon in Zahidan, the great leader of Sunnis, Shaikh Abdul Hameed urged, “Islam does not allow its followers nor our society lets any individual to target the innocent people as unfortunately the previous days some people were targeted in Ashoora procession in Chabahar city”.

“We strongly condemn the attack on Ashoora procession of Shia community which took place in the Wednesday morning at15 December in Chabahar city of Iran, this sorrowful incident claimed the lives of 39 innocent persons and left more than 80 injured. We consider it a big criminal act against a blameless society”, He added.
Imam of the Sunnis further said, “None of the religions believes in such terror attacks, in the same way the society we live in requires peace and harmony, I ask Allah almighty to save our country from other more compensation and damages.”
Shaikh Abdul Hameed continued saying that it is extremely required that the Iranian government and the masses must differentiate between criminals, terrorists and the other common persons of Ahl-us-Sunna Wal Jama’ah who want to live peacefully, it is right that there is a big unit of criminals who always targets the religious meetings, as well as tries to break the unity of both communities Sunnis & Shiite, but the Sunni community all the time calls every one to assure brotherhood, fraternity, patriotism and living peacefully, as well as we ask the governing authority to arrest the indulged people and punish them in such a way to be an example for others, in order to have no terrorism.
Pointing towards the problems of Ahl-us-Sunna and Baloch community of Iran, Mawlana Abdul Hameed made it clear that in fact no one can neglect the difficulties which the Sunni community has been facing in Iran, but it does not justify committing such criminal acts, rather we always try to solve our problems inside the country by discussion and negotiation, whether the result of discussing comes in favor of Sunnis or not, but we do not consider any kind of terrorism allowed in the country, however if any person goes wrong he would be responsible alone, it is injustice to declare the complete community guilty due to a person who does a mistake.
Referring to “Mujahidin Khalq” party respected Shaikh explained the point saying, “Many bomb blasts and targeted killing events took place in past, and the mentioned party was behind those cruel acts, the leaders of that party are Persian and Shiite, even sons and close relatives of some top officials are the member of “Mujahidin Khalq”, but no one blamed all Shiite or Persian community for terrorism. So now Balochs and Sunnis must not be accused for the crimes of some rebels. As well as the relatives of the criminal should not be detained or sued by the authorities.”

The mortal world must not be loved

In the first part of his speech, the eminent Sunni scholar recited the verse of holy Quran:
“وَلَا تَشْتَرُوا بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا إِنَّمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا عِنْدَكُمْ يَنْفَدُ وَمَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ بَاقٍ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّ الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ مَنْ عَمِلَ صَالِحًا مِنْ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَلَنُحْيِيَنَّهُ حَيَاةً طَيِّبَةً وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْرَهُمْ بِأَحْسَنِ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ
(And do not use an oath by Allah for the purchase of little value, what is with Allah is better for you if you only knew. Whatever you have will be exhausted, and what is with Allah will remain. And to those who are patient, we will certainly grant them their rewards in proportion to the best of what they used to do.)
Explaining the mentioned verses Shaikh pointed out to the mortality of the world and immortality of the “Aakhirat” (Dooms Day). He said that the main theme of this holy verse is to take out the love of mortal world from our hearts, and put in the love of Allah almighty, undoubtedly we need many things to have in our lives in this world, it is not hated, but its love is prohibited in Islam; because love of world is the main root for all the crimes as it has been declared the way of exam in the holy Hadeeth that this Umma (Muslim nation) would be tested by having lots of money.
“The major weakness which exists in the world is that each and every thing will finally finish, fancy dresses, luxury cars, big gardens, wide & big buildings, ministries and all posts will be finished one day, just Allah almighty will remain,” he stressed.
Respected Shaikh added more, “Any thing we spend in the way of Allah almighty, it would be rewarded Here and in the Hereafter, such deeds are not mortal as Allah almighty says:
“والباقيات الصالحات خير عند ربك ثوابا وخير أملا” (And the righteous good deeds that last are better with your Lord for reward and better for resort), certainly such righteous deeds contain offering prayers, paying Zakat, doing Pilgrimage (Hajj), doing good with the slaves of Allah almighty, reciting the holy Quran and each and every thing which we donate in the path of Allah almighty, so these things are not mortal, and at the dooms day we would be rewarded of doing these good deeds.”
Shaikh said more that another big negative point of worldly things is being little, as Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala says:
قل متاع الدنيا قليل” (Say: “Short is the enjoyment of this world), actually the main target of Quran is to clean our hearts from the love of mortal world, as well as from the love of materialistic things which don’t have any value in the court of Allah almighty, rather we must try our level best to enlighten our mind and hearts by remembrance of Allah almighty and loving his last apostle along with all the prophets (PBUT) and doing good deeds in our practical lives.
Regarding the martyrdom of Sayyedana Hussein رضی اللہ عنه the prominent imam of Sunnis said, “He was a great personality, his fight was not for gaining governance, or getting such mortal advantages, but his extreme efforts were to bring justice, to defend Islam, to defeat the cruelty, so he would be remembered for a long time, as his enemies were degraded in past as well as they would be remembered being hated until to dooms day.”
