KHASH: A person who betrays his or her religion and beliefs would sellout to the country, Shaikh Abdul Hameed has said in a religious ceremony in the northern city of Balochistan, Khash.
Addressing the Iranian authorities, khateeb of the Sunnis in Zahedan more added, “A Sunni who is far a way from the religion and a Shia who does believe in God never can be a patriot citizen.”
“God willing, with the help of almighty Allah we never step back from the right path and till the last breath we will protect our religion and beliefs,” Shaikh Abdul Hameed urged.
Declaring “religious freedom” is the right of every nation, Mawlana Abdul Hameed added more, “The rulers must execute all articles of the Constitution. The Sunni community should not be worried over their educational and religious affairs. Some elements do not want to apply the constitution completely. It is so sorrowful that we live under the flag of “Islamic Republican” and we are not allowed to offer prayers even in homes in the major cities!”
Talking to the audience of the fifteenth ceremony of “Makhzan-ul-Uloom” on Thursday, at 11th November, he further said that Sunnis follow the rules and want peace and unity. They are against sectarian and moderation is their way of life. Sunnis follow Quran and Sunna and would remain patriot citizens of Iran.
