Pointing to wards unfair politics which is continued in Iran for a long time, Imam and Khateeb of Sunni community, respected Shaikh Abdul Hameed said, “This kind of politics creates much suspicion and cause to a doubtful situation amongst the natives (Sunni & Shia) of Iran, being sincere Iranians they can ask: why they are treated like foreigners? Despite they have nothing in their hearts except well-wishing for their country? So then why they are not allowed to serve the nation freely and why they are forcibly kept in the corner?”
“The history testifies that the believers and the Muslim communities due to love with their religion and knowledge have been respecting their Islamic scholars, undoubtedly still their love with me or other Islamic scholars is because of their love with Islam, Quran and Hadeeth. If we study the history of previous kings we would find them that due to their love with Islam they also liked much the men of Quran & Hadeeth, in the same way the Islamic scholars as well liked them because of their services for their great religion,” he added.
Indicating towards the scholars’ situation before and after 1979’s revolution the prominent Sunni leader more said that certainly before the revolution the sincere Islamic scholars were respected those were neither selfish persons nor they had served just their personal benefits rather they had just one thing to serve their country and their religion. Thus their respect has been increased when they became the rulers of the country and public would refer to them for their demands and problems.
Describing the mission of Sunni Islamic Scholars in Iran respected Shaikh said, “With the complete clearance I would like to say that Sunni ulema and scholars have been struggling to get the rights of not only Sunni community but also their services have been since the revolution for every one who lives in Iran whether he is Sunni, Shia, Jew, or Christian.”
Pointing towards the strategic location of Sistan-Balochistan as well as mentioning the peaceful decisions and sacrifices of Islamic scholars of that area, Mawlana Abdul Hameed further said, “Our province is a frontier province with two neighboring countries where people are suffering from insecurity and unrest condition is going on; that is why have been facing many serious problems regarding security in the province. It is our duty to raise the voice of our masses in order to remove their difficulties, whenever a person wants to create problems for them so we stood in front of him; we condemned those who tried to harm us. We did it all just for the sake of getting the will of God, we neither had such materially benefits nor we tried to get the will of people.”
Shaikh strictly said, “Our demands are not what the government presents to us; every one knows that we are neither sold out nor we were forced to follow others against Allah almighty. Every one knows about us all the time we tried to maintain peace in the region and finish the differences by good efforts, rather we want to let the people live peacefully, for the next time as well as it would be our main goal to breathe calmly and let others to do so well, whether some one thanks to us or not, in the same way people praise us or hate us, it is our duty to keep our society as well as our country safe from any damage.”
In the second part of his speech Shaikh said that it is misfortune that some elements continually treat the Sunni Islamic scholars like they are not the inhabitants of Iran, and knowingly work hard to keep them in corners, such persons never want to let the Sunni scholars serve the nation. This kind of politic always creates many doubts in the Sunnis’ minds.
Expressing the respect of elders Shaikh said, “Allah almighty has mentioned in his true book, how to respect the Islamic scholars. Because they are the signs of God on the earth, they have the knowledge of God and they are hair- apparent of Messengers of God, so the rulers also should respect them, as the best instructions of our holy prophet (PBUH) were to respect their elders, Islamic scholars and those people who have status in the society, rather to hate them was considered to hate of the whole nation. Their criticism over the country’s situation is just for the betterment of country not for the destruction.”
Mentioning the confiscation of passports of some Islamic scholars Shaikh more said, “It is very strange and shameful that the government confiscated passports of some Islamic scholars to stop them from going out side the country, it is our right to raise voice against such unjust actions, previous days some scholars were invited to participate in an Islamic consultation meeting which was being held in Turkey, but due to detention of the government they could not do so. Being an Iranian it is our right to go any side inside Iran and out side of Iran.”
The head of Darululoom Zahedan expressed his sorrows over the raid of some culprits on Hafiz Mohammad Islam, the teacher of Darululoom Zahidan, in the previous week and said that now he is fine (thanks to God), such elements never want to maintain peace in the society, they want to create sectarian violence in the city. We extremely condemn this shabbily attack and ask the government to arrest them and punish them to be a lesson for others. Other wise the security of the region would be in danger.
