He added more, “The excellence of this blessed night is great, since in this night the Noble Qur’an was sent down, as there are two thoughts of Islamic scholars for explaining the conditions of revelation in this great night:
1: revelation was started in this power night.
2: the complete Qur’an was sent down from “LOH-E-MAHFOOZ” to wards the
nearest sky.
The worship in this blessed night is equal to more than eighty years, as well as the rewards are multiplied many times in order the deeds of believers be respected.”
Respected Shaikh continued saying that certainly the prophet’s companions were become much delighted when they heard about this surah; because in the matter of worshiping and getting rewards more and more they were greedier men than others. So we should copy such personalities and we must have fear of passing this night with out getting the rewards which are given in it; surely whoever is deprived of the night of power (Lailat ul Qadr) then he has truly been deprived of many blessings.
The head of the largest Sunni school further said, “It is the night there in descends the angels and the Ruh by their Lord’s permission with every matter. It means that the angels descend in abundance during the Night of Al-Qadr due to its abundant blessings. The angels descend with the descending of blessings and mercy, just as they descend when the Qur’an is recited, they surround the circles of Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) and they lower their wings with true respect for the student of knowledge.
Explaining the importance of the month of Ramadan Shaikh Abdul Hameed said, “Verily, the month of Ramadan has come to you all. It is a blessed month, which Allah has obligated you all to fast. During it the gates of Paradise are opened, the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are shackled. It is the month in which the believers should be active to the blessings of Lord, fulfill their requirements by asking
it from Allah almighty and they are not to miss the rewards of this blessed month by becoming indolent or lazy.
Shaikh pointed to wards an other important point that the first war between Haq and Batil (wrong and right) was happened in the month of Ramadan; that is why that day in which this famous battle occurred was called “Yawm-ul-furqan” the day which differentiated between Haq and Batil, there is no doubt that the whole days of amadan clearly differentiate between Haq and Batil, so when we remember our Lord in these days then we become closer to Allah almighty and stay far a way from sins and Satan; This is why the Prophet (saws) warned us about being heedless of this night and being neglectful of spending it in worship.
Exerting Oneself during the Last Ten Days of Ramadan While explaining the importance of last ten days of the month of Ramadan respected sheikh narrated one hadeeth: ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “When the last ten days (of Ramadan) would come, the Prophet (PBUH) would spend his night in worship, wake his family (at night), exert himself and tighten his Izaar (waistcloth).”
This hadeeth is proof that the last ten days of Ramadan have a special virtue over any other (set of days), in which one should increase in obedience and acts of worship, such as prayer, making dhikr (remembrance) and reciting the Qur’an.
He (PBUH) would “spend his night in worship, He (PBUH) would “wake up his family, He (saws) would “exert himself, He (PBUH) would “tighten his Izaar (waistcloth)”. That is why we must not neglect such a great importance of last ten days which are to observe I’tikaf in, to recite the holy Quran in and ask forgiveness from Allah almighty much and more.
The message of Ramadan:
This great month gives us an important message that while we have fasting we should have fear of God, than after Ramadan also all the time we try our level best to have piety, in the same way any time we get free so we must not spend our time uselessly rather it should be spent in valuable activities such as: reciting the holy Quran, remembering Allah almighty, offering prayers, sending salat & salam on the holy prophet(PBUH), seeking forgiveness, and asking protection from the fire of hell.
At the end of his speech sheikh expressed the importance of spending money in the way of Allah almighty. He said: it is necessary for us to purify our wealth by paying zakat; certainly these charities are the best wealth near to Allah almighty. Especially never forget in these last ten days your poor brothers and the needy people.
