IUMS denounces Zahedan bombings in Iran

Note: About two weeks ago, a fierce incident took place at a Shia mosque in south east of Iran, Zahedan. Several states, organizations and personalities extremely condemned this fierce event. Meanwhile the largest “International Union for Muslim Scholars” of Muslim scholars also denounced the raid on Shiite mosque and damage of Sunnis’ properties after the blasts in Zahedan, Iran.

The text of the IUMS’ statement:
In the name of Allah, the most merciful, the most kind
all praises to Almighty Allah and peace be upon His Messenger, the last prophet and his companions and those who followed them well.
The International Union for Muslim Scholars have received with deep sorrow and concern the news of bombings in Zahedan, Iran, which claimed the lives of dozens and hundreds of our Shiite fellows were got injured; in the consequent reaction some Shiite extremists attacked shops and properties of the Sunnis and set fire to some Zahedan’s markets.

The IUMS is against of these bloody and unfortunate incidents and decides as follows:

First- these criminal acts which claimed the lives of innocent people in their place of worship to Allah must be condemned , no doubt that all heavenly religions and man-made laws as well as moral charters strongly reject such acts of violence against innocent civilians, especially the great book of Allah Almighty says: Al-Maeda 32: ” أنه من قتل نفسا بغير نفس او فساد في الأرض فكانما قتل الناس جميعا “; [if anyone killed a person not in retaliation of murder, or (and) to spread mischief in the land – it would be as if he killed all mankind], and Almighty Allah in Al-Nisa 92 says: “وما كان لمؤمن أن يقتل مؤمنا إلا خطئا”; [It is not for a believer to kill a believer except (that it be) by mistake], then Allah says: ” ومن يقتل مؤمنا متعمدا فجزاؤه جهنم وغضب الله عليه ولعنه وأعد له عذابا عظيما”; [And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell to abide therein, and the Wrath and the Curse of Allâh are upon him, and a great punishment is prepared for him.] The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) says in this regard: “For Allah demise of the world is lesser than killing a Muslim without having any right” and also the holy prophet (PBUH) says: “A Muslim is still in the expanse of Islam until he attains the haraam blood.”
Hence a horrible warnings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is reported to the Muslim nation if they return to the era of ignorance, due to a dispute in religion or money to cut the necks of each others; in the same way the holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) expressed clearly in Hajjat ul Wida’: “Do not return infidels after me, hit the necks of each another.”

Indeed, Islam does not allow in wars against the infidels killing of those who are not involved in wars but only the fighters and aggressors would be killed in the battles. Once the Prophet (PBUH) saw a woman found murdered in one of the attacks, he became angry and said: “She was not to fight!” And forbade the killing of women, children and old men and nonpartisan people in war.
Khulaffa-e-Rashedeen forbade killing of abbes and monks in their monasteries and farmers in their land, merchants in their shops, in the language of our time they forbade killing of civilians those are not involved in fighting.

The IUMS calls for all who considered himself a Muslim to fear of God to shed the blood of people of Qebla and who attests that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. A class or individual of a community must not be considered responsible for guilt of his community or anyone else. Islam clearly decided the principles of personal responsibility and confirmed what has been brought by Abraham and Moses: “That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another.” An-Najm: 38.

Second: the reaction that has occurred by some Shiites because of this painful incident to cremate some markets in Zahedan and revengeful attacks on innocent people of Ahl-e-Sunnat is also contrary to all Islamic values and regulations, it is a heinous crime detrimental to the common interests of one country’s residents and followers of same religion; therefore such acts must be stopped immediately -as the local officials did- and also they became aware of the huge crowds at the burial of victims from these explosions as lifted the slogan: “Not Sunnis not Shiites but they are criminals!”

Third: the International Union for Muslim Scholars warns a stern warning from linking these events -whatever their motives are- to Sunnis or Shias; these are incidents which occur on both sides as we have seen in Iraq and elsewhere. So sectarianism stirring is one of the most dangerous temptations that described in the hadith “Like spares of dark night.”

Fourth: the International Union for Muslim Scholars warns of a scheme of aggressive stance, but a Zionist-US plan to ignite the region with temptation and sectarian conflicts, to disrupt the Islamic nation and filled civil war; to antagonize each other and make them kill each other, to remain sporadic and dismembered in order to control Muslim lands easily and swallow and plunder their resources and absorb the blood of their children.
Therefore the International Union for Muslim Scholars called on: the Ummah’s scholars, Muslim rulers, wises and thinkers of Sunnis as well as Shiites and other components of Ummah to handle these events by constructive cooperation and strive to achieve equality and give constructive rights of each community, to achieve a comprehensive reconciliation among people and their rulers and real convergence between sects and communities on the basis of justice and equity in order to bridge the way of violators of this plan and unity, to be able to abort and Abbot of all conspiracies aimed at the whole Muslim nation; Allah says: ” يريدون ليطفئوا نور الله بأفواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون “. [They intend to put out the Light of Allâh (i.e. the Religion of Islâm, this Qur’ân, and the Prophet Muhammad SAW) with their mouths. But Allâh will bring His Light to perfection even though the disbelievers hate], As-Saf: 8.

أللهم ألهم هذه الأمة رشدها واجمع كلمتها على الهدى وقلوبها على التقى (ربنا اغفر لنا ولإخواننا الذين سبقونا بالإيمان ولا تجعل في قلوبنا غلا للذين آمنو ربنا انك رؤوف رحيم).
