Imam and preacher of Friday prayers for Sunnis in Zahedan, Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed towards his recent trip to Turkey to participate General Assembly of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) in Istanbul and talked about the Islamic civilization and its prosperity in the earlier period, as well as he pointed out the reasons of progress and excellence of Muslim nation in the past centuries, saying: “The major point of their progress and advancement was having strong faith and good morals as well as following the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah.”
He added, ” The main cause of Muslim’s victory and triumph in each field and battles was saying one sentence which was presented by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to His clan in Makkah; that sentence is [لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله،] (There is no God but Allah, Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah); but they refused to acknowledge it and left the Prophet (peace be upon him) and they got them selves deprived of this blessing. In contrast, those who believed this good word, and believed on one Deity who is Allah, and proudly died for the sake of this word, they conquered the world and made the whole world under the banner of monotheism.”
Respected Shaikh expressed his feelings as he entered the historical city of Istanbul saying: At that moment, my mind collapsed in Istanbul date record of developments and feats. However if any one who has heart and little conscience for the Muslim ummah sees this current situation of Istanbul including other Islamic cities certainly he would suppurate and his tears would come out from the eye.”
The total history is witnessed that Muslims were kings of the world in ancient centuries, they were the super power all over the world, and in addition to it when they were following the Islamic teachings and copying the Sunnah of holy prophet (PBUH) people were looking at them because of their good services and dignity. Due to having unity among them on Islamic sentence ([لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله،]) they had the ability of excellence in entire world. But since Muslims moved away from the Qur’anic teachings and forgot the requirements of Islam religion and left to follow the life of holy prophet(PBUH) which was the cause of superiority, surely they stayed away from the bondage of great Lord, and kept following the desires rather than good deeds and biography of the righteous salaf (I mean those great personalities who copied their prophet{PBUH} completely) and the noble Companions, the remembrance of Allah and penitence at dawns, and missed prayers of full of reverence and submission, and afflicted with disobedience and vulgarity, I am sure these dark days which are being included in the history of Muslims would remove the Muslim nation, that is why over all the missed dispersion of the Islamic countries and geographically breaking the national borders are faced by Islamic countries. Now Muslims have lost their power of self-defense, and enemies are taking a lot of advantages of such opportunities to raid the Muslim ummah, to assemble the entire powers against them and let the Islamic nation painfully,” Shaikh Abdul Hameed added.
The preacher of Makki mosque more said, “The comparison between the prosperous history of the Muslims and the current regrettable situation hurts the human heart.”
While talking to a large number of Sunni Muslims in Zahedan he expressed the sacrifices of the companions for Islam. Especially he mentioned some stories of the biography of great companion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) Hadhrat Abu Ayyub Ansa’ri (may Allah be pleased with him) whose grave is in Istanbul.
Shaikh more said that the graves of many of the companions are found in different parts of the world is testimony to their efforts and sacrifices to defend their religion Islam, and surely this love moved them forward.
Imam of the largest Sunni mosque in Iran referred to the wakefulness of the Turkish people and said, “The Turkish people have realized that the best way to survive is to return to God and Islam truly. All the Muslims should return to the first era, which was the role of faith and righteous deeds and piety in order to regain the past glory.”
“The Muslims realized today that East including west have not brought any success for them but only ridiculous chants which are really the causes of backwards of Muslim societies. We must know if West is advanced in the fields of industry, science and technology, but it is backward morally as it is obvious, they are facing more ignorance than the ignorance which existed before Islam mattresses”, Shaikh pointed.
Maulana Abdul Hameed further said that the young people in Turkey have returned to mosques; when we (the Iranian delegation) prayed in the mosque of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari so the worshipers were all young people, praise be to Allah that Muslims have been returning to Islam and Islamic awakening.
He continued, “There is no contrast between the Islamic teachings and material progress. Islam does not go contrary against the useful material; each of positive material, progress and Islamic morals depends on to follow Qur’an and Sunnah completely.”
Imam of the Sunnis in Iran thanked the leaders of Turkey regarding their attitude towards the aggressive Zionist crimes, showing his hope that other Islamic countries would take such strong attitudes toward the enemies of Islam to get united the Islamic World against them.
His Eminence indicated towards the recent conference of the International Union of Muslim Scholars and informed, “This was the second meeting held in Turkey, one of the fruits of the meeting and its results was that to unite scholars in the Islamic world, it was decided to resistant to the challenges of enemies and threats, scholars should have one stance and consistent in this area.”
“About two thousand scholars and intellectuals of the Islamic world participated in this conference, which is a broad participation of the Muslim scholars is the cause of the union and harmony in the Muslim world”, he more added.
At the conclusion of the sermon Shaikh pointed out towards the annual ceremony for new graduate students at Darululoom Zahedan on the next Friday with the participation of a large number of people saying, ” God willing the ceremony will be held as the past years,, this gathering also heralds a great opportunity to take advantage of scholars and great ulema from around the country, where scholars and intellectuals will meet in general the people.”
The head of Darululoom Zahedan urged that this ceremony is useful for every one, there would be prays for all not against any one.
Shaikh asked the audience to pray to Allah and noteworthy reciting and fasting redundancy in the remaining days in order to get more than past spirit in the ceremony.
