ZAHEDAN: The great Sunni leader of Iran’s Sunnis and the head of Zahedan University Sheikh Abdul Hameed, explaining the virtues of companions while teaching the famous book of Imam Bukhari (Allah’s mercy on him) “Saheeh Bukhari” to the students of final class of scholar course at Darululoom Zahedan, expressed his extreme concern on analogizing the opposition leaders of Iran with the two great companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) Talha and Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them.)
Referring to recent statements of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenehi at the death anniversary of founder of Iran revolution as he said: “It was marvelous for the Sunnis that the Leader of Revolution warned the people many times to keep them selves far a way from insulting sanctities, or to use such false analogy which created a lot of concerns of the Sunnis in the country.”
Imam and khateeb of the largest Sunni mosque more said, “It has become common, especially after the incidents that followed the last disputed presidential elections, to analogize the opposition leaders with the two venerable companions Talha and Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them) by those officials who are their opponents. The Sunni scholars and academic have warned always that Talha and Zubayr( may Allah be pleased with them) are senior companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), they are the first companions of the first age of Islam, who praised by Almighty Allah in Soura Tawbah: “وَالسَّابِقُونَ الْأَوَّلُونَ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَالْأَنْصَارِ وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُمْ بِإِحْسَانٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي تَحْتَهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ.” (And the earlier people who embraced Islâm among the Muhâjirûn sahaba(those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansâr ones (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhâjirûn) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allâh is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success. ).
As well as they are two of the ten who were promised clearly by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in separate places to be inhabitant of Paradise. The Sunnis pay huge amount of respect for the companions in general, and the Righteous Caliphs and the ten promised Paradise in particular, they consider them religious sanctities.”
“Therefore, the Sunnis over the world, those are more than a billion Muslims in the world, consider these analogies as an abuse of their sanctuaries and sacred and they have been protesting against such blaspheme,” Sheikh added.
At the end Mulana Abdul Hameed urged, “We must preserve the sanctity of the prophet and all the companions, leaving their differences to Almighty God, and Allah says: تلك أمة قد خلت لها ما كسبت ولكم ما كسبتم.” (That was a nation who has passed away. They shall receive their reward of what they earned, and you of what you earn. And you will not be asked of what they used to do.)
