Release of Shaikh A.Rasheed on bail

ZABOL: The Iranian authorities have released Shaikh Hafiz Abdul Rashid, imam and preacher of Friday prayers for Sunnis in Zabul city on bail after being detained six days.

It is notable that Friday preacher for Sunnis in Zabul, was summoned before Special Court for Religious Scholars situated in the north east of Iran in Mashhad city on Tuesday last week because of a speech was delivered by him following the issue of demolition the greater Sunni school “Darululoom Imam Abu Hanifa of AdheemAbad” two years ago, where Shaikh Hafiz Abdul Rasheed criticized the demolition of the second largest Sunni school.
He was arrested by Government authorities after his attendance at that court; he has been released on bail of 70 million Toman (approximately seventy thousand dollars).
