Maulana Ahmad Narui (assistant of Sheikh Abdul Hameed in administrative affairs at Darululoom Zahidan) delivered khotba of this Friday in Makki Mosque in Zahedan instead of Sheikh Abdul Hameed (Imam of Friday prayers of the Sunnis). Maulana Abdul Hameed is at a trip to “Chabahar” city in the southern of Sistan & Balochistan province.
Sheikh Ahmad said in his sermon, There are many elements to depend upon genuine Ima’n and without these elements none is complete believer, one of them is the love of Sahaba, Allah be pleased with them, (the companions of the Holy prophet PBUH). They were trustees of this nation (Muslims) in order to convey the Prophet’s message to others. Islam reached to us by their efforts, no one is allowed to insult them in any way. The state television must not broadcast blaspheme programs to insult the sanctities of Sunnis which hurt hearts of this great number of people of this society.
Sheikh Ahmad in his Friday sermon Considered love of the prophet’s companions as a standard of sincere faith and said it is a part of our beliefs that the companions of our prophet PBUH are the best after the prophets; the greatest saints are not equal to the simple Sahabi. The Prophet Muhammad PBUH warned that not to take his companions target of abusive terms and debilitating. He (peace be upon him) said: “الله الله في أصحابي لا تتخذوهم من بعدي غرضا فمن أحبهم فبحبي أحبهم ومن أبغضهم فببغضي أبغضهم”; [Fear Allah! Do not make my companions target after me, who ever loves them he loves me and who ever hates them he hates me.]
Sheikh Ahmad further said that the unity of Islamic nation which is the secret of survival of this nation (Ummah) would not be achieved without respect to the holy sites and religious beliefs of each others. A Sunni Muslim must not proceed to any word which hurts the feelings of Shiites. Also any Shia must not speak a word which cause pain to Ahl-e-Sunnah community and target their beliefs. The one who does such anti unity acts he will commit treason against Islam certainly; he does not serve Islam in fact.
He added, “The state television, which is in fact, spokesman of state and government and it is a national department must refrain from broadcasting what is blaspheme to the Sunni community.”
Maulana Ahmad pointed that if charges brought to the prophet’s companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and their character targeted resemblance then what remains for us from Islam?! Because they were the bearers of this religion; if some one targets Sahabas he targets Islam! Thus the bases of Islam face risk. Those who slander them what is their answer to Allah on the doomsday? We call on the state media to desist from broadcasting such abusive programs to the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him.)
Sheikh Ahmed added, “At the unity conferences always decided not to offend the prophet’s companions and sanctities of the Sunnis, but we are witnessing abuse, everyone must take care of the assets of unity, peaceful coexistence and to respect each others.”
