Respected Sheikh Abdul Hameed, Imam and Friday Khateeb for Sunnis in Zahedan after reciting the verse:
“يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ فِيكُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ يُطِيعُكُمْ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِنَ الْأَمْرِ لَعَنِتُّمْ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكُفْرَ وَالْفُسُوقَ وَالْعِصْيَانَ أُولَئِكَ هُمُ الرَّاشِدُونَ فَضْلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَنِعْمَةً وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ”،
and explaining the great status of The Holy Quran he said: Whenever we recite the Book of Allah and we take guidance from it, we feel that these words are not of human. There is no doubt that the words of eloquent and rhetoricians have a great position, but these are nothings if we compare it with talks of Almighty Allah.
He added: “We are unable to thank God Almighty for this blessing onto due to being a great charter, greatest covenant and super celestial rope and to take convey us to words of Allah and leads us to heaven. We can not thank to God and the sake of saying thanks this greatest book should be understood, it should be recited and be followed completely and it deserves to devote our time as well as our money for achieving these greatest purposes.
Referring to efforts of the Quran in survival of the human life he said: The Holy Quran is an easy book to understand, as each person easily can do it; and Quran is a great blessing of Almighty Allah and supper guidance book like sun when arise so it makes the society brightful. The society which avoids from the Quran remains in darkness and they always misguided by Satan and its camp followers. We must go back to words Quran, The Holy Quran complains lack of the attention to words of the Quran, because some people do not recite it and those who recite the Quran, they are not abide by recitation. There for, we always lose in our lives. It is impossible that human society escape from the anger of Allah without following the guidance of the Holy Quran and without copying the chief of messenger’s peace be upon him; the access to God is impossible except copying the Holy Quran. If Moosa (Alaih-e-Salam) was alive, he would chose the path of the Holy Prophet and his guidance as a procedure of life and a way to protect himself from the wrath of Allaah, and it also stated in the hadith, “If Moosa was alive, he could not have any option except to follow me.”
Shaikh Abdul Hameed pointed: Our people guided themselves in a wrong way because they think that Islam is limited in prayers and almsgiving, and they forget the other aspects; it is fact that Islam is wider than this; it includes all dimensions of our lives, with teachings, programs and guidance for all divisions of life. We will be losing a big part of great right religion if we do not do our trade according to Islamic rules, for example, we eat usury and plagued, we take bribery and we break other Islamic laws in the transactions, or dissipation money and aliments.
The Shaikh further said that the companions (God bless them) and the household of the Prophet (peace be upon him) as they are models of successes because of adopting the Quran and the Sunnah and he said: Most of people among us think that the companions and the household were like us, rather it is not fact the companions were the best of creation after the Prophets. Stated in the hadeeth “Allah looked into the hearts of his slaves and found the heart of Muhammad – peace be upon him – the best of people’s hearts so He chose him for himself and sent him out along with his message, and then looked into the hearts of His slaves after the heart of Muhammad – peace be upon him – and found the hearts of his companions, better than the people’s hearts, so appointed them ministers of His prophet to fight for his religion.”
So the Ahl-e-bayt and Sahaba were chosen by God for the Seal of the Messengers, they were good people interlay as well as externally and strong in faith and work, So selected them companions of the Holy Prophet, and they had the power and capability of company of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: “The Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him), are the best people, the deepest knowledge and they were far behind from doing fake, the people who were chosen by God to accompany His Prophet and the establishment of religion, so appreciate them and follow their right path, they were on right guidance.”
Maulana Abdul Hameed explained the exact members of Ahl-e-Bait concerning the Sunnis: We include wives of the Prophet in Ahl-e-Bait as it includes His descendants, and there are many evidences for our case, Quran and Sunna to prove it. Shaikh Abdul Hameed said: As the Prophet (peace be upon him) was the arbor and a beacon of guidance, His Sahabas also were the landmarks and beacons of guidance, because the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) were the first group who raised the sun of prophet hood on them, they were models of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and they were solid Quran and every one can judge guidance of the Holy Quran into their life. Therefore, any where they went nothing stopped them from spreading of Islam around the world. It is the result of their good acts and their commitment to Islamic morality.
He expressed more that some people claim Islam was spread by force of sword in the world. But it is wrong; because the spread of religion in the world was a result of ethics of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) and their belief in the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. Rather jihad and fight was done against the unjust rulers who had made the people slaves to themselves, and they fought against the oppressor dictators and kings in order to eliminate injustice, tyranny and to insure the liberation of the people to remove them from bondage of the rulers and the people enjoy the freedom of Islam. Their struggle was not to force the people to accept the Sharia and Islam, rather the religion was spread by their morals and decent actions of goodwill in the world. Now listen to the proof. There is a large number of countries which entered into Islam completely without fighting between them and the Muslims, In fact, when the people of that country saw the teachings of the Prophet, they became impressed by them and accepted Islam.
Pointing out some features of the companions he said: The Companions of the Holy Prophet used to recite the Holy Quran, inside and outside the prayers, as they increased Zekr (remembrance) of Allah Almighty, and established a connection with God through strong links to the Qur’an, and the linked to the Prophet at all times of their lives through adopting the Sunna of Muhammad (peace be upon him).
They were stars of the sky of guide who had been brought up and trained by Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). He breeded his students and trained them so well. The Prophet (PBUH) was an example in education, and he was an ideal teacher. And his disciples also ideal as they had received accurate Islamic education from a perfect ideal teacher. The Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) have many rights to every Muslim; and the lowest of these rights to respect them and to love them with our hearts.
At last, Shaikh Abdul Hameed said to Sunni members of the Shura Council (parliament) who participated in Makki mosque, and told that you are the Sunni representatives in the parliament and you are intermediate between the Sunni community and officials. The Sunni community does not have any other official institution or source to express their matters to government officials in the capital except you (M.P). And you have legal responsibilities and official functions; you should follow up the issues of the people and their problems and make them the subject of attention and care. If the representatives of the Sunnis have unity, and a stronger relationship, they will be more successful in resolving the dilemmas of their people and their community.
