<\/strong>According to the website of the Office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid, referring to the rapidly escalating economic and livelihood difficulties, noted:
\u201cThe nation and the country of Iran are facing various deadlocks. Day by day, the pressures of life on the people continue to intensify, and according to experts and analysts, no pathway is visible for overcoming these economic and political deadlocks.\u201d
He added:
\u201cOn one side, drought and a lack of rainfall, and on the other side, inflation and the severe depreciation of the national currency have made life extremely difficult for the people. Those who live among the people know what kinds of hardships they are enduring in these conditions. Every day we witness an increase in the dollar\u2019s value, and the national currency has lost its standing internationally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>He stated:
\u201cIn one of his speeches, the president said that government officials are responsible for the current inflation, and that banks are responsible for the devaluation of the currency because they print banknotes without backing. When the head of state acknowledges this reality, these issues must be managed correctly and properly, and all revenues and income streams that belong to the national interest must return to the state treasury\u2014which is, in fact, the treasury of the people.\u201d
The Friday Imam of Zahedan continued:
\u201cWhen many institutions, agencies, and high-ranking individuals in the government and system are engaged in personal business activities, naturally the people\u2019s interests are sacrificed, and the public ends up bearing the hardship and suffering.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\ud83d\udd39 \u201cPolicy Changes That Protect National Interests\u201d Can Improve the Economy and People\u2019s Livelihoods
<\/strong>Mawlana Abdolhamid, emphasizing that solving these crises requires serious decision-making, said to officials:
\u201cYou must change national policies and adjust them. If policies are adjusted, the economy and people\u2019s livelihoods will improve. Policies must be designed in such a way that national interests are protected and the nation can breathe comfortably.\u201d
He stressed:
\u201cExperts must be consulted, and public opinion and referendums should be used. Individuals may make mistakes, but a nation as a whole does not make the same errors. This is why Islam consistently emphasizes consultation and collective decision-making\u2014what we call \u2018collective wisdom\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>In the opening part of his sermon at the Friday prayer gathering in Zahedan (December 5th, 2025), Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdolhamid referred to verse 9 of Surah Al-Munafiqun, describing wealth and children as two factors that may lead a person to neglect God, and warned of the consequences of \u201cexcessive attachment to worldly wealth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>According to the website of the Office of the Sunni Friday Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdolhamid recited the verse:
\u201cO you who believe! Let not your wealth or your children distract you from the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that\u2014then it is they who are the losers.\u201d [Al-Munafiqun: 9]
He stated:
\u201cThe Qur\u2019an is an extremely constructive and impactful book. It speaks of realities and human nature\u2014things that are always pleasant, appealing, and perfectly compatible with human life. Everything the Qur\u2019an says is true and real. We must reflect on what message Allah conveys to humanity through the Qur\u2019an and apply it in our lives.\u201d
He added:
\u201cThe Qur\u2019an is God\u2019s book for both Muslims and non-Muslims. It is humanity\u2019s misfortune to flee from the Qur\u2019an and Islam, which ensure the benefits of both this world and the Hereafter. Even if the entire world were given to a person, it would still be insignificant compared to Islam\u2014the final divine religion and the essence of all prophetic teachings. Religion is God\u2019s greatest blessing for His servants.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>He continued:
\u201cToday many people judge religion through our behavior. If our lives contradict religion, they turn away from the essence of faith. Look at the life and conduct of the Prophet, the Rightly Guided Caliphs, the friends of God, and the righteous scholars\u2014those who practiced faith and were true Muslims. Look into the history of virtuous figures such as Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, who brought great transformation to the world in a very short time. These individuals did not focus on worldly wealth; they focused on faith, deeds, and strengthening their relationship with Allah and His Messenger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>The Friday preacher of Zahedan said:
\u201cThroughout history, nothing has removed the dignity of Muslims from the hearts of people and harmed their honor more than love of the worldly life. When love of the world enters the heart, a person becomes fearful and hesitant, and fails in charity and sacrifice for God. But it is God-consciousness that guides a person toward establishing a relationship with Allah. The elders lived simply and served the people.\u201d
He added:
\u201cNeglect is a dangerous disease from which Allah warns humanity. The cure for neglect is to spend in the path of God. By giving charity, excessive attachment to wealth and the trait of miserliness disappear, and generosity develops.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Mawlana Abdolhamid continued:
\u201cAllah has warned that your wealth and children must not distract you from His remembrance or be preferred over Him. Guide your children toward religion and the pursuit of knowledge, and raise them properly. Righteous children are among the greatest assets of parents.\u201d
He added:
\u201cDo not forget your missions, duties, and commitments. Do not become captivated by wealth, position, rank, or worldly status. In the pursuit of wealth or business, you must not forget God. If you stop praying or fail to uphold God\u2019s commandments for the sake of these pursuits, then you have forgotten God. Repay people\u2019s debts. Fulfill the rights of your wife and children. Provide for those whose livelihood is your responsibility. Pay zakat and charity. Support the poor and needy\u2014these are all forms of remembering God.\u201d
He emphasized:
\u201cDo not allow worldly matters to distract you from the remembrance of God. Whoever forgets Allah has, in reality, forgotten their own success and honor. For no worldly gain\u2014great or small\u2014should a person displease God. Life is not worth living if it is spent in heedlessness of Him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Mawlana Abdolhamid stated:
\u201cAllah Almighty has said that rivalry in accumulating wealth has distracted you from the remembrance of God, and you have forgotten the commitments you have with Him. Greed leads to heedlessness. A person afflicted with greed gathers worldly wealth but does not store anything for the Hereafter, nor does he spend in the path of gaining God\u2019s pleasure.\u201d
He added:
\u201cThe more you chase the world, the more it pulls you toward itself\u2014unless you spend your wealth in the path of God and seek His pleasure through it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>Mawlana Abdolhamid continued:
\u201cWith one’s life and wealth\u2014two great assets\u2014God\u2019s pleasure and Paradise are attained. We must not withhold our lives or wealth in the path of God; rather, we should spend them for the benefit of people\u2019s religion and worldly needs.\u201d
He stated:
\u201cIt is a sign of misfortune when a person spends day and night accumulating wealth, sacrificing rest, only to go empty-handed to the Hereafter\u2014leaving behind wealth for children who may use it for murder, corruption, addiction, or sin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/strong>At the end of this part of his sermon, Mawlana Abdolhamid said:
\u201cFor enlightened individuals, there is no asset greater than faith, the Qur\u2019an, and the conduct of the Messenger of God.
