“E’tikaf” is an Arabic word in origin it means to sit in the corner of some thing or to sit for just worshiping. Technically it mean’s to sit in the last ten days of Ramadan before the end of the 20th day of it in any masque (masjid).
Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: “Fasting is a shield.”
