All Sides Should Participate in Negotiations with a Positive Mindset / The Iranian Delegation consider National Interests and the People’s Situation

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, during the Friday prayer gathering in Zahedan on April 10, 2026, expressed happiness over the ceasefire agreement and the decision to negotiate, recommending all sides of the conflict to abide by the ceasefire.
The Friday Imam of Zahedan, stating that the involved parties should participate in these negotiations with a positive mindset, demanded the Iranian delegation to keep two important subjects in mind during these talks: “national interests” and “the living conditions and situation of the people,” and to strive for the removal of sanctions and threats.

Everyone is Happy with the Ceasefire Agreement
According to the report from the office of the Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: Everyone is happy with the agreement to establish a ceasefire. It was emphasized that the warring parties should reach an agreement and negotiate with each other. Wherever loss and war are stopped, it is in everyone’s favor and better. War contains destruction and loss.
He added: The greatest advice is for the parties to remain committed to this ceasefire; respecting the ceasefire is in everyone’s interest.

National Interests and the People’s Situation Should be Focused on in Negotiations / Allah’s Pleasure is Achieved Through the Path of Gaining Public Satisfaction
The outstanding Iranian Sunni scholar urged on the need for a positive mindset of the parties in negotiations, and said that all parties should participate in these talks with a positive mindset, a broad perspective, and by paying attention to the consequences of war. Our advice to the Iranian delegation is that they should consider the interests of the entire nation and the situation of the people in these negotiations.
He clarified: National interests take priority, and in the past, we have always emphasized protecting national interests and paying attention to the demands and interests of the people. Allah’s pleasure is achieved by gaining the satisfaction of all groups, including the weak and powerful classes; if Allah and the people are with us, then we will have no problem. If we consider the national interests and the demands of the nation, Allah Almighty will have mercy on us manifold.

The Iranian People Showed Patience During the Difficult Conditions of War and did not Present Their Demands; Value These People / Efforts Should be Made to Eliminate Sanctions and Threats
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid further added: Today, the Iranian people are living in extremely difficult and tough conditions, and even in these war conditions, they remained patient with empty stomachs and did not present their demands and needs. These people should be valued and their demands should be addressed.
He clarified that we all should live in a public manner and think about the economy and lives of the people. Efforts should be made to remove sanctions and threats so that problems are solved and people can live. Nations are the greatest capital and asset of any society and country, and efforts should be made to protect this asset.

War Has Inflicted Deep Wounds on the Country’s Infrastructure / If the Right Path is Chosen, These Losses Can be Compensated with Divine Help and Public Support
The Friday Imam of Zahedan said that unfortunately, there has been a lot of loss of life in this war and the country and infrastructure have suffered very large losses, but if the right path is chosen and policies and behaviors are reviewed and molded according to the wishes of the people, compensation for these losses is possible with the help of Allah and the support of the people.
He further added that my advice to everyone is to review and bring change in themselves and their lives. Parents with children, spouses with each other, and children with parents should bring change in their behavior, and officials should also bring change within themselves regarding the people and stand with the people by giving up their own desires for the sake of the people and solve the demands and problems of the people so that the pleasure of Allah and the people is achieved.

Neighboring Countries Should Treat Each Other in a Way that They Do not Feel Ashamed Before Each Other in the Future
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, in the next part of his speech, advised neighboring countries, and said that there are historical and long-standing relations between Iran and neighboring countries, therefore they should always take care of each other and respect one another. Neighboring countries should behave in such a way that after these conditions and situations pass, they do not feel ashamed before each other.

I Thank the Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for Allowing Water to Enter Iran
In the final part of the Friday prayer ceremony in Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid thanked the officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan for the arrival of water from that country into the Sistan region of Iran, and said: It is appropriate that I thank the officials of the Islamic Emirate; I want to thank them for providing the path for the arrival of water into Sistan. The dear people of Sistan endured years of drought and the hardship of water shortage. Alhamdulillah, water has now reached this region. Alhamdulillah, there has also been a lot of rain in Afghanistan and other areas, and the rivers have come back to life.
He further added: Following my speech and request regarding the Sistan water issue on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr prayer, the dear people of Nimruz province [of Afghanistan] complained to me about why I did not talk about the issue of water shortage in that province. But, Alhamdulillah, the rains have now increased and the water gates have opened toward Nimruz and Sistan. Our request to the officials of Afghanistan is that they do not stop this water from entering Sistan and Nimruz so that the flow of the river continues. The people of Iran and Afghanistan are each other’s best partners who have always lived together like brothers.
