War is Destructive and Pushes Nations Backward/ I Recommend All Parties to Make Agreements

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid on April 3, 2026, during the Friday prayer gathering in Zahedan expressed sorrow over the destructive and dangerous consequences of war for various countries and nations, including destruction of humans and infrastructure, and called on all parties involved in the Iran war to reach an agreement to prevent further loss of life and financial damage.
He considered an agreement as the best solution.

All Countries Should Take Measures to Compensate for Damage and Promote the Well-being of Their Nations
According to the report from the office of the Sunni Imam of Zahedan, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid remarked that our country is currently going through a major test. In such a situation, the most important and great duty of all countries and governments in the world is to prevent damage and take measures for the prosperity of people and to keep war and calamities away with strategic planning.
He clarified: war is very destructive and wipes out all assets and infrastructure, and sets countries and nations back.

In Iran, the War Has Reached a Very Sensitive Stage/ Important Infrastructure is at Risk and People’s Lives Have Become Difficult
The Friday Imam of Zahedan further said: Currently, the ongoing war in Iran has reached a very sensitive stage; even some important infrastructures are at risk. In this situation, people’s businesses have come to a halt, and lives are trapped. Inflation and hyperinflation were already very high, and now, with the country in a war state, life has become even more difficult for people. Continued circumstances will lead to huge losses of life and property and destruction of the country’s facilities.

All Parties Should Avoid Attacking Each Other’s Infrastructure
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized on all countries to avoid attacks on vital infrastructures, and said: Unfortunately, during this war, some attacks have recently taken place on certain infrastructures. I would like to advise all parties to strictly avoid attacks on water, electricity, oil, gas, and other critical facilities upon which the lives of ordinary people depend.

The Wishes and Satisfaction of the People Should be Considered in Making Future Decisions of the Country
The Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan recommended all parties to reach an agreement, and said: In these circumstances, discretion is necessary, and the best discretion is an agreement to prevent further damage. Discretion should be internal as well, and by acknowledging the demands of the people and gaining their consent, the wishes and satisfaction of the populace should be taken into account for future decisions and the country’s destiny. External discretion involves reaching agreements with opposing and warring countries. An agreement is the best solution.

The Internet Shutdown in the Country Has Paralyzed People’s Lives
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, in the next part of his speech, called for the restoration of global internet in the country, and said that the internet had been blocked for more than a month, which has disrupted people’s lives. Today, the internet has become a fundamental requirement of life, and people’s trade, business, and daily life are connected to it. We hope that the international internet network will be restored soon in the country.

Israel’s Decision Regarding Palestinian Alleged Attackers is Brutal and Discriminatory; the Whole World Should Protest Against this Decision
The most prominent Iranian Sunni social leader strongly condemned Israel’s recent decision during the Friday prayer gathering, saying: Israel has enacted a law under which Palestinians involved in attacks against Israelis will be sentenced to death. This Israeli decision is very brutal, discriminatory, and unilateral; because it mentions no fight with Palestinians, whereas the issued orders should be common and unbiased. Therefore, it is hoped that the entire world will protest against this Israeli decision.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid further said: The situation is such that the Palestine issue is still unresolved, and Palestinians have not yet gained access to their due rights. The death penalty does not help the country’s peace; rather, it increases anger, enmity, and unrest. If Israelis intend to suppress Palestinians this way, the situation will worsen. Palestinian rights should only be achieved through dialogue.

The death penalty should be stopped in the country
Finally, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized the need to abolish the death penalty in the country, and said: Our own country is also advised to halt the death penalty. We believe that the death penalty does not help in securing security or solving problems.
