A Suspected Agent Arrested in the Grand Makki Mosque

Following the arrest of a suspicious person in the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan, capital city of the Iranian Balochistan, the office of the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan issued a statement confirming the reports of the detention.
Many media outlets reported that a suspected agent was detained by the security staff of the mosque on Monday, 19th June 2023.
The text of the statement is as follows:
“Following the release of reports in social media about detention of a suspected person in the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan, it should be said that a suspicious person has been identified and arrested, and it appears that the man is affiliated with some state offices. The suspect has made various confessions; these confessions are under investigation. Therefore, we request the people not to worry about this and keep calm.”
