Mawlana Nazar Mohammad Rigi, the Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Mirjaveh, the easternmost border city of Iranian Balochistan, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 in a hospital of Zahedan.
After suffering from illness for many years, Shaikh Rigi passed away in Ali bin Abi-Talib hospital of Zahedan, capital of Sistan-Balochistan province.
The funeral prayer of this prominent scholar was offered on Wednesday evening by Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader and the president of Darululoom Zahedan, in Musalla of Mirjaveh.
Thousands of people from different classes and backgrounds took part in his funeral prayers.
The body of Mawlana Nazar Mohammad was buried in Mirkooh village of Mirjaveh.
