Giving Importance to Recitation in Ramadan

There is a deep link between Ramadan and the Noble Qur’an. Ramadan cannot be imagined without the Qur’an. In fact, Ramadan obtains its merit from the Qur’an.
The Qur’an is a comprehensive program of Allah for purification of people from evils and elevating their position before Him. It is a source of guidance, unlocking secrets, healing the soul and body, purification of heart and piety. For these purposes, Allah the Almighty has revealed the Qur’an and encouraged to its recitation in the Prayers/Salah and out of the Prayers.
On this account, the prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be on him, would read the Qur’an in the night Prayers and inspire people to do so, too. Now, it is the habit of Muslims to recite the entire Qur’an in Taraweeh Prayers.
Muslims try to have khatm in Ramadan and recite the Qur’an from the beginning to the end. It is the habit of good people and pious. Jibrae’l, may Allah have mercy on him, used to visit the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be on him, in every Ramadan and read the Qur’an with him entirely from the beginning to the end. In the last year of the revelation, Jibrae’l revised it with the messenger of Allah twice.
The holy month of Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an; Muslims celebrate the Qur’an and appreciate God for His precious gift.
We should try hard to get the pleasure of God in this month and strengthen our relationship with our lord by reading the Qur’an and going by it.
