19th National Quranic Competition Held in Zahedan

The 19th national competition in memorizing and reciting the Holy Qur’an was held at Darululoom Zahedan on Tuesday January 18, 2022.
SunniOnline reports, in this competition, 150 students competed at different levels of memorization and recitation of the Qur’an. The judges of the competition were from Balochistan, Khorasan, Hormozgan, and Kurdistan provinces of Iran.
Mufti Muhammad Qasem Qasemi, chairman of Darul-Ifta of Darululoom Zahedan, said at the opening ceremony of the competition: “The Noble Qur’an is a light, mercy, and guidance for human beings. The Holy Qur’an alone is effective for the guidance and spirituality of humanity.”
Reciters and memorizers of the Holy Qur’an from different Sunni provinces of Iran participated in this two-day Qur’anic competition.
Members of the Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Sunnis of Iran were present at the closing ceremony.
In the closing meeting, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader cited the Qur’an and Sunnah as the greatest assets of Muslims.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid asked the memorizers/Huffaz of the Qur’an not to forget the Qur’an under any circumstances.
President of Darululoom Zahedan said: ‘Students should plan carefully for their spirituality and purification’.
At the end of the ceremony, prizes were awarded to the holders of the first, second and third positions in different levels.
