Import & Distribute COVID-19 Vaccine Widely

Criticizing the Iranian authorities for failing to import and provide the COVID-19 vaccine in the country widely, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid of Zahedan insisted on giving people’s health priority to everything. He said Iran’s wealth should not be spent on other countries and nations in the current situation.

Addressing the Iranian officials, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said in his Friday prayer speech of March 5, 2021 that instead of sending aids abroad, the authorities should solve the health and economic problems of their own people in Iran.

Alluding to reports about the death of many COVID-19 patients in Ahwaz city of Iran, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “In a local hospital of Ahwaz, half of the patients of Coronavirus have died; I was shocked when I saw that the Iranian people were dying due to the Coronavirus in such a horrible way.”

“Why don’t the officials distribute the corona vaccine widely in Iran?” Friday prayer leader of Sunnis in Zahedan expressed his concerns.

President of Darululoom Zahedan continued: “The health of the people is more important than anything else. People’s health is even more important than education”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid added: “In many countries where the population is more than the population of ours, people have been vaccinated widely; unfortunately, the authorities have not yet been taken any serious steps in this regard”.

“The COVID-19 vaccine is not distributed in Sistan-Baluchestan province yet; this province is a remote and forgotten province; if there is a vaccine, the elders of the nation in the central part of the country use it first. We request the authorities to take care of the health of all Iranians”, said the prominent Sunni scholar of Sistan-Baluchistan.

Referring to the dire situation of patients and the lack of facilities in hospitals, the Iranian Sunnis leader strongly criticized the government and said: “Today, we are not in a condition to spend the country’s wealth to help other countries and nations; our people themselves need the help of others”.

He added: “The officials should think about the Iranian people who are suffering from unemployment and hunger.”

“Some people do not even have money for bread and they borrow bread from bakeries. The authorities must take serious measures to put the Iranian first”, said the Imam of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan.

In the last part of his speech, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid emphasized on “maintain security” and said: “Security is as important as health; Allah the Almighty says to the people of the Paradise in the Holy Qur’an: ‘Enter it in peace and security’.”
“After the blessings of health, the blessings of security are very important”, he added more.

Alluding to the recent insecure situation of Sistan-Baluchistan, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on maintaining security by saying: “The security of Sistan-Baluchestan is very vital and important. I request the dear people of the province to maintain the security of the province, because insecurity is against the interests of all”.
