Americans should Fight Racism & Discrimination

Alluding to the ongoing mass protests in different cities of the United States, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid condemned “racist views” in the US and advised the US officials to apologize to the people and to fight racism.

Addressing thousands of worshippers in Zahedan’s Friday ceremony on June 5, 2020, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “Today the world is witnessing racism in the US by the majority of whites against the minority of blacks”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid continued: “Some whites have a negative view about the colored-skin in the United States, as recently a white American policeman murdered a black man by kneeling on his neck for several minutes.”

“This action worried the people in the whole world. The Americans including whites and blacks have stood against racism in the form of uprising as much as that the US leaders in the White House were terrified”, he said.

The Iranian Sunnis leader further said: “We did not think that racism was so deep and high in the United States that a police officer who is responsible for providing security would kill a black man because of racism”.

“Racism is a hateful idea; the United States which claims civilization and development, now their racist behavior made them ashamed before the world.

“To end protests in the United States, the US politicians should imply justice and fight racism, as well as they should apologize to the people of America and the world”, president of Darululoom Zahedan said.

Ethnic, religious prejudice is rejected
Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “Racist, ethnic and religious bigotry views that prevent the implementation of justice and lead to oppression and violation of civil rights of others is rejected”.

“I’d like to advise the US politicians and leaders of the world to confront racist, ethnic and religious views that prevent the implementation of justice and deny due civil rights of others”, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said.

He believed that administration of justice was the only way to provide peace among different tendencies.

President of Darululoom Zahedan pointed to Islam’s emphasis on condemning racism and said: “Islam has always fought against racism and fanaticism. The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, addressed two companions who called each other’s tribes for personal support during dispute, saying: “avoid using these “reeky words”.

State offices should work for implementation of justice and elimination of discrimination
In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid referred to the death anniversary of Ayatollah Khomeini and said: “Ayatollah Khomeini called for freedom and stood up against imperialism.”

He added: “I cherish the day of 3rd June and hope that the three state offices (parliament, president house and judiciary) and all government officials will do their best to implement justice and eliminate discrimination, which was one of the most important goals and aspirations of Ayatollah Khomeini.”

Shaikh Muhyiddin Baluchistani was one of the prominent scholars who endured many sufferings
In another part of his speech, Sunnis Friday prayer leader in Zahedan referred to the death of Mawlana Muhyiddin Baluchistani, saying: “Mawlana Muhyiddin Baluchistani passed away in Quetta, Pakistan.”

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “Shaikh Muhyiddin Baluchistani was one of the prominent scholars of the region who tolerated many sufferings and illnesses. His death caused a great concern to the people of the region.”
“I offer my condolences to the survivors and to all those who have been sorrowful over his death. May Allah bless him”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid also offered his condolences over the death of Hammad Akhund Ahmadi, an Iranian Turkmen Sunni scholar and Friday leader of Kalaleh saying: “I ask Allah the Almighty for full forgiveness and exaltation for him and patience and reward for the survivors.”
