PMs Should Try to Solve People’s Problems Open-mindedly

Referring to the beginning of the 11th term of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian parliament), Shaikh Abdol-Hamid of Zahedan considered the role of the assembly vital in running the country and emphasized on the necessity of resolving people’s problems with unbiased views.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said in his Friday speech of May 29, 2020: “As parliament members have a duty of legislating and supervising the implementation of the law, the Consultative Assembly plays an important role. We hope the representatives will try to solve people’s problems with high opinion open-mindedly.”

Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “Although the crisis of COVID 19 has spread all over the world today, we in Iran are also facing other crises as the result of the imposed sanctions. Iranians have been suffering from economic crisis and devaluation of the national currency”.

“Traders have suffered irreparable damages as the result of fluctuations in the price of the dollar and the devaluation of the national currency, and now have to sell all their assets to pay their debts”, said Shaikh Abdol-Hamid.

Government should control country’s economic crisis
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid addressed the officials: “The parliament, the government cabinet and all leaders of the state should try to solve the crises that the country is facing, especially the economic crisis.”

“The common Iranians have endured so many problems; the classes with low income face more problems.”

He added: “Unfortunately, our young generation suffers from unemployment. There should be measures to address this issue”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid believed that there should be reforms and changes in domestic and foreign policies, saying: “The parliament should try to bring changes in domestic and foreign policies in order to reduce the problems. It is necessary to reform and change policies; this is in accordance with the interests of the country; and people”.

President of Darululoom Zahedan further emphasized that the representative’s views should be as high as they can consider the rights all religious communities and tendencies.

“Every faction that gains power should consider all other factions. Respect the rights of all sects and religions,” he added more.

Implementation of justice is the most important task of the authorities
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called the “implementation of justice” the most important task of the officials and said: “The implementation of justice and the equal look to all tendencies is the most important task that officials should consider it properly. The officials should have the same view to all Iranians.”

“Allah is dissatisfied with discrimination and inequality”, he said more.

The most influential Iranian Sunni leader said: “Allah the Almighty is pleased with justice and equal views. Our system is “Islamic republican”; Islam commands equality.”

“The Holy Prophet’s view and the view of the Ahlul-Bayt and the Companions towards all people were the same”, the Iranian Sunnis leader said.

Khateeb of the Grand Makki Mosque of Zahedan said: “At the beginning of Islam, Muslims both Mohajir and Ansar had the same position; Salman Farsi had the same respect as others and he was also close to the Holy Prophet PBUH. Slaves of Medina had the same respect. Bilal Habashi, Sohaib Rumi and Ammar bin Yasir were poor, but they were not different from other companions”, he said.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid emphasized: “We hope the views will change. Discrimination should be eliminated. We are all Muslims and Iranians, we should have equal rights. We hope that the executive branch, the judiciary, the legislature and other bodies of the country have a common goal; that is justice.”

In another part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid demanded Sunnis’ due rights and urged on the necessity of freedom of the press and expression.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The Iranian Sunnis’ “due rights” who have been present in all national scenes, should be addressed. They should serve their country as other Iranians. Sunnis are an opportunity for Iran; it is the time to use this opportunity”.

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid emphasized: “It is the time for Iranians to be together in the administration of the country and to defend it. This strengthens fraternity and durable security. This is the right policy, which we hope will be beneficial.”
