Dr. Mostafa Khorramdel, a Kurdish Sunni writer, translator and professor passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2020.
The late Professor Khorramdel was 84.
He was one of the most prominent scholars in Iran known by his famous interpretation of the Qur’an, “Tafsir Nour”, written in Persian.
Dr. Khorramdel also translated Tafsir of “Fi Zilal al-Quran” into Persian in 17 volumes and it is another lasting work of Dr. Khorramdel.
Professor Khorramdel was born in 1936 in Mahabad, West Azerbaijan province. He was graduated from Tehran University and was a member of the faculty of and ex-rector of the University of Kurdistan.
