Mawlana Abdol-Hamid Welcomes Taliban-US “Peace Agreement”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid considered US-Taliban peace agreement one of the biggest achievements in the era and a great victory of the truth against the falsehood. Issuing a statement, the most influential Iranian Sunni leader welcomed the agreement.

Statement reads as follows:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
“Surely We have granted you a clear victory”;

The news of the “peace deal” between the Taliban movement and the United States has made free people and the people of the truth happy in the world.

Undoubtedly, achieving this peace was a great success and the result of patience, resistance, jihad, martyrdom and supplication and prayer.

This great achievement shows the proof of the divine promises and it is an example of the predominance of the truth against the falsehood.

There is no doubt that the Taliban are still going through difficult steps that require caution, wisdom and discretion, so that cunning enemies and ignorant friends will not break this peace.

As Islam has a high capacity of tolerance and the Holy Prophet PBUH was the best example of dealing with others and peaceful co-existence, there is a good chance for a great deal of forgiveness and tolerance with different sides. I hope the Taliban movement will be a mercy for all as the divine mercy and they consider the differences of all ethnic and religious communities live in Afghanistan.
