“Perfect & Correct Introduction of Islam”, Duty of Ulama

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid has said in the conference of “Duty of Ulama in the light of Qur’an and Sunnah in the current society” held in Kazan of Tatarstan that Muslim scholars and preachers need to organize a movement and introduce Islam correctly and perfectly.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan and president of Darululoom Zahedan, reported that he spoke to the participants of the conference in Arabic about the duty of Muslim Ulama and their role in awakening and reforming society.
He said: “Ulama have been playing a key role in Islamic awakening, reformation of society and guidance of people in the history. Whenever Ulama showed laziness in carrying out their duties, the Muslim Ummah and even Islam faced challenges and crises.”
“If Ulama want to be successful in carrying out their duties, first of all they should focus on purification of their souls. Whenever Ulama stand correctly on the path of personal ritual acts, such as worships and co-existence principles, the rest of people imitate them,” the most outstanding Iranian Sunni leader said in the Kazan international conference of Ulama.
He said more: “The Muslim Ummah has been observing a quite different era which is very sensitive and special. From one side Muslim masses and non-Muslims in other countries have been demanding Islam and from the other side, the enemies of Islam work hard to stop this awakening and Islam-seeking tendency.”
“Muslims have been suffering from various kinds of problems such as sectarianism, extremism and violence which have roots in other causes. For instance, intolerance of the arrogant powers regarding Islamic awakening and the wave of seeking Islam among non-Muslims is one of the most important causes and reasons behind the above-mentioned problems,” member of the MWL supreme council underlined.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “In the current time, despite advancement of mankind in technology and modern facilities, they are deprived from calmness and rest. All Muslims, especially Ulama should introduce Islam correctly and perfectly. It saves Muslims from weaknesses in faith and deeds and misconceptions. As well as it will let non-Muslims to know about the real Islam.”
“It is necessary to constitute a movement of Ulama, preachers and scholars in order to protect Muslims in the ongoing critical situation propelling them towards the teachings of Islam and Qur’an. This movement should prove that violence and extremism have no place in Islam.”
He said: “The enemies of Islam work hard to highlight Muslims’ internal disputes to divide Muslim masses and scholars more and get their interests.”
“All crises in the Muslim countries return to the differences of Muslims with each other. So Ulama should make efforts to undo the plots of enemies and strengthen unity and fraternity among Muslims,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged.
He called on Ulama to admonish rulers “wisely” and with a “soft language” based on sympathy.

At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid expressed his satisfaction with the religious freedom of Muslims in Russia. He addressed Russian Muslims and said: “Show sympathy to your country and take part in building this country. Seek knowledge and modern sciences. As well as, purify yourselves from misdeeds and bad habits.”
