Veracity, a Common Point among all Divine Religions

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the importance of “veracity and truthfulness” in his sermon of Friday 16th August 2019 and termed this moral virtue “common point of all divine religions”.
Talking to tens of thousands of Sunni worshipers in Zahedan city, he said: “Veracity is one of the best moral beauties while falsehood is one of the worst ethical vices. Truthfulness is an outstanding point of the Islamic civilization and one of the most considerable capitals of mankind.”
“For the first time, when the prophet PBUH stood on the mountain of Safa to invite people towards monotheism and Tawheed, they listened to him due to their trust in his veracity. The prophet PBUH did not lie even once in his entire life. If we are his real followers, then we should avoid lie which is a sin and root of many other sins,” he further said.
Referring to Hadiths, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said that truthfulness guarantees Paradise for every believer.
He said: “Those who donate and tell the truth, they are honest and truthful in their faith. As veracity has positive fruits, in the same way, lie has negative fruits. Veracity saves mankind and lie kills them.”
“Protect your tongue and do not speak a lot; talkative people hardly can save themselves from lie, accusation and useless talks. Even do not tell lie to make others laugh.”
President of Darululoom Zahedan expressed his regret over the spread of lies among traders and in markets. He said: “Telling lies in businesses and traders kill the blessing. Plus to positive points, tell the negative points of your goods, too. Do not exaggerate in admiring your goods.”
He referred to a Hadith and said: “The prophet PBUH has informed us that a truthful and honest trader will be with the prophets, martyrs, Seddiqin and Saliheen.”
At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid appreciated “job-producers” and said that creating job opportunities was a big achievement.
