Repentance & Du’a, Treatment of Personal & Social Problems

Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid expressed his regret on “weaknesses in seeking forgiveness from Allah”. He called on the audience of the Friday prayers in Zahedan on July 26, 2019 to repent and make Du’a for their personal and social problems.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reported that he began his speech by recitation of the verses 133-136 from the chapter Al-e-Imran and said: “No one can claim that s/he does not commit sins, but the best ones are those who always repent to Allah and seek His forgiveness.”
“Everywhere we can see Allah’s blessings for us. We cannot thank Him as we should do; so seek His forgiveness for this shortcoming. If anyone commits any sin, exactly in the same time and in the same place he should repent to clean that sin in the same place from his record,” Khateeb of Sunnis said.
He further said: “The beloved prophet, peace be upon him, despite being protected from sins, used to seek forgiveness from Allah to clean dust from his heart. Rasoulullah PBUH used to seek forgiveness 70 to 100 times every day.”
“Istighfar/seeking forgiveness from Allah is the treatment of all kinds of personal and social problems. We suffer from various calamities just because of our bad acts and deeds; when we return to Allah and seek His forgiveness sincerely, He will save us from all calamities,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid underlined.
He called on the audience to carry out good deeds in order to enter the Paradise as it is a gift for those who endure difficulties on the path of Allah and show resistance before Satan.
“Allah is the only one who can forgive us not any clergyman or spiritual leader. Even the clergymen need Allah’s forgiveness for their mistakes and misdeeds,” Shaikh said.
At the end of his speech, Khateeb of Sunnis alluded to the presence of the general governor of Sistan-Balochistan province in the gathering for the Friday prayers and said: “Sistan & Balochistan is the home of different ethno-religious communities who are brothers with each other and all of them belong to Iran. We ask the governor to have a watch on different offices and bureaus directly in order to make them more active.”
“These all communities have equal share to get higher posts in the province and country. Our elites should be allowed to hold posts on national and provincial levels in different provinces and in the capital,” he concluded his points.
