Following a double-bomb attack targeted police in Zahedan leaving four policemen injured, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid condemned the attack.
According to the statement issued by his office, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “The news of a bomb explosion in one of the towns in Zahedan made us worried. I condemn the attack and announce that any kind of insecurity is against the interests of the country and our province, Sistan & Balochistan. It just made our bad-wishers happy.”
He concluded his statement and urged: “Persuading demands only by peaceful channels and social activities can be fruitful. In any case, violence is unacceptable for the society.”
Police officers say a double-bombing has lightly wounded four police in Zahedan, southeast of Iran.
