Gov. & State, Supposed to House People

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan termed “housing people and all citizens” the responsibility of governments and the state and urged on paying attention to this issue.
Talking to Sunni worshipers in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, on Friday 11th Jan. 2019, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “All governments and states around the world have accepted to resolve people’s housing problems. As well as, our government and state authorities are responsible to house every citizen.”
“Although in the past houses were built and people paid prices by instalments; but now if authorities cannot build houses and distribute them among citizens, at least they should allot them empty places for building house. Every Iranian has the right of holding his own house and pertinent officials should focus on the issue and help people,” he added more.
Friday imam of Sunnis in Zahedan pointed out to the growth of population in Zahedan city and said: “Currently Zahedan has no capacity for this huge population and there should be some new boroughs and suburb town. Houseless citizens can be accommodated in such towns.”
He called on officials of the Housing Foundation and Natural Resources Bureau to take care of people and allot them lands for housing. These national lands belong to this nation and their houses should not be demolished.”

Judiciary should admonish offices to resolve people’s problems
The most influential Iranian Sunni leader had some advice for the judiciary and he said: “None of bureaus and authorities should misuse the judiciary. Judicial authorities should notice implementation of justice and law about people who have been waiting for documents of their forefathers’ lands.”
“Judiciary does not belong to government and some particular offices; rather it belongs to each and every member of this nation. The judiciary should work hard to administrate justice for every Iranian. Creating legal problems for people should be stopped and they should be permitted to build houses and dig wells for livestock,” he underlined.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to economic crises in the country and called on municipality to not tease street hawkers and packmen.
“Some authorities urge on removing kiosks and booths from the city while people have no sources of income. If you cannot produce jobs for people, at least do not ban on people’s tolerable jobs,” he emphasized.

Growing number of murder cases a threat to society
In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “Regrettably the number of murders has been increased in our society and it is a serious threat for our society. We warn on the consequences of this issue.”
“Wherever Shari’ah, wisdom and good common law disappear in any society, murder and bloodshed increase. If our region has been suffering from lack of rains and famine, growing number of murders is one of the reasons behind it,” he added more.
President of Darululoom Zahedan said: “No one should be killed; but if someone did so, he should be tried by legal channels and authorities. Qisas is a due right of victims, but governments should carry it out. Killing relatives of killer is an act of ignorance.”

Taqwa is the only remedy
In the first part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid called on avoiding from all kinds of sins and misdeeds.
He said: “Piety/taqwa is the best way to get protection from Satan’s plots and enemies’ conspiracies. Allah Almighty has called on believers to be pious in various places in the Qur’an. Obedience of Allah is prior to anything.”
“We should live carefully; our acts and words should not tease anyone. Take care of neighbors. Conflicts take people out of piety; so avoid differences and conflicts. Taqwa protects human beings from divine punishments in the both worlds.”
Khateeb of Sunnis urged: “The only remedy is in piety. Allah Almighty says: “Allah will find a way out for him who fears Allah” [65: 2] so we should live all the time with taqwa.”
