“Discrimination”, a Basic Obstacle on the Path of Unity

The most influential Iranian Sunni scholar called “justice”, “tolerance”, “respecting each other” and “removing discrimination” the most important ways to make Muslims united. He was talking at the first International Congress of Muslim World’s Students for Unity in Sistan-Baluchistan university of Zahedan on 3rd Dec. 2018.
The official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid reported his speech before dozens of national and international guests where he recited the Noble verse of the Qur’an: “وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا” and said: “Unity of Muslim nation is a divine order and all should be abided with this ordinance.”
“Developed and advanced nations make unions for the sake of their common interests. Each of the US and Europe has high power, but for their mutual interests they sit together and establish union. Russian and the US are considered two powers of the West and East, but they also unified for mutual interests,” he pointed out.
The prominent Islamic scholar said: “When these arrogant powers cooperate with each other for their mutual interests, why Muslims cannot sit together for the interests of Islam and Muslim states?! If Muslims unite, they will be an undefeatable power. We should notice the interests of Islam and Muslims in order to be united.”
“Tolerance and avoiding from bigotry and narrow-mindness, hold fast to the common tenets, implementation of justice and respecting each other are best ways to reach to unity,” he underlined.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan said: “Unity does not mean that all sects should merge in one sect leaving their beliefs; it is even impossible. Different sects should be free to act in accordance with their tenets and juridical schools of thought without restricting others.”
At the end of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid applauded university students upon organizing the congress for unity and paving the way for dialogue.
