The most influential Iranian Sunni leader has congratulated the newly-elected prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, asking him to “implement justice”, “engage capable members of ethnic communities” and “implement Islamic Shari’ah” in Pakistan.
Here is the text of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid to Imran Khan:
By the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Kind
Mr. Imran Khan! We’d like to congratulate you on your victory in the recent general elections and your election as the new prime minister of Pakistan. However we have no enough information about your political and social viewpoints, but we consider victory of a party under the title of “justice movement” as a good omen. We hope the factor of justice – which is the mere need of nations and they miss it – will be implemented in Pakistan. National solidarity and durable peace which are the fundamentals of nations’ development and progress cannot be achieved without justice.
Keeping in mind the current circumstances, I’d like to remind you some points:
1. The most important thing is implementation of justice;
Pakistan enjoys religious and ethnical diversity and hence implementation of justice among them is a vital issue.
2. Special attention to the forgotten ethnic communities such as “Baloch” people who are decent communities, but they have been suffering from poverty, unemployment and various kinds of injustice and negligence. In recent years, many of their elites have been disappeared or killed. Balochs have faced many insults and instead of dialogue and negotiation, they were behaved violently.
Respectable prime minister! It is not wisely to put a big nation that lives in a big part of Pakistan prone to misusage of the enemies by wrong policies.
It is worthy to see this nation, listen to their demands and negotiate with them and engage their capable individuals in positions.
3. Create unity and entente among Muslim countries;
You have been elected prime minister of an important Muslim country in a situation that disputes and conflicts among Muslim countries and rulers have paved the way for the enemies of Islam to misuse the disputes. Being prime minister of an influential country in the region, we hope you will leave no stone unturned to create unity and entente among Muslim countries.
4. Strive to implement Islamic Shari’ah in Pakistan;
One of the main philosophies on which Pakistan got indepdence was “implementation of Islamic Shari’ah” and Muslims constitute the majority of Pakistani nation. So we expect that you will make yourself and your government near to Islam as much as you can. The support of Allah and people’s satisfaction can be obtained in this way.
Respectable Imran Khan! Considering these points and implementation of correct and accurate polices will make you an eternal and famous prime minister in the contemporary world. In Sha Allah!
At the end, I wish prosperity and dignity for you and I’d like to remind you that these posts and positions are not durable; as Pakistan has experienced many prime ministers and presidents. I hope you will be among the most influential officials of Pakistan with an unforgettable name and fame in the minds of people.
