Hours before leaving for Hajj, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed this great obligation one of the didactic and influential divine programs for purification and guidance of human beings. He was talking to worshipers in Zahedan before Friday prayers on 3rd Aug. 2018.
Khateeb of Sunnis began his speech by the verse 197 of the chapter Baqarah: “الْحَجُّ أَشْهُرٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلَا رَفَثَ وَلَا فُسُوقَ وَلَا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَمَا تَفْعَلُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ يَعْلَمْهُ اللَّهُ وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ” and said: “Allah has designed a complete plan for our spiritual and material nourishment. The divine programs are very strong and accurate as specialized experts are astonished.”
“The human body is one of the great divine signs. Meditation into different parts of the body and their function gets us to the oneness of the Sublime. He has equipped us with all we need for nourishment and living. Allah created illnesses as well as treatments. If we do not see any treatment for any disease, it is because of human beings’ weakness,” he added more.
President of Darululoom Zahedan said: “Islam is the name of a complete project for human beings’ guidance. Allah has designed different worships to make human beings’ inward and outward clean. He knows our different kinds of needs and He has planned for all such needs.”
He termed Hajj a “didactic” act and said: “Hajj is one of the great divine programs. It is constructive and a source of guidance. Hajj is a class with lessons for different aspects of life. It teaches mankind obedience, monotheism, sacrifice, sincerity and resistance before enemies and hidden and obvious Satans. Stoning Satan means to banish and reject him strongly.”
“Hajj is didactic and it is the biggest gathering of Muslims to perform one of the obligations. It is a unique and great worship,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.
He addressed pilgrims and said: “Those who go for Hajj should know Allah is present everywhere, but the holy sites of Haramayn Sharifain are the centers of worship and the place where we see the symbols of Islam. So they should leave all anxieties and thoughts behind and worship Him. They should repent to Allah and ask His forgiveness.”
“Every worship has its unique influences, so pilgrims should benefit from this great moment and do not miss any ritual and even non-obligatory worships. All of those worships have influences and they should utilize them,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said.
He said human beings cannot be needless of the religion. “Religion is the important need of human beings, but unfortunately many people do not feel this need and ignore it,” Shaikh added more.
