Iranian Sunnis Shouldn’t Face Travel Ban Inside Country

Mawlana Mohammad Hussain Gorgij criticized illegal travel ban on some Sunni citizens, especially Ulama and intellectuals, inside the country.

Rector of Darululoom Farouqia in Galikash city of Golestan province was banned to take part in the annual gathering of Sunnis in Zahedan at the 27th graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan.

He said: “The graduation ceremonies in Balochistan [of Iran] have been finished; neither the government was changed nor the security was destabilized. So the officials should not act according to nonentity and personal views.”

“Sunni Ulama should be free to take part in such ceremonies; it strengthens national unity,” Khateeb of Sunnis in Azadshahr added more.

He further said: “Human beings are free to live and go wherever they want. It is unjust to work hard for attracting foreign tourists and on the other hand you forbid your countrymen from traveling inside the country.”

Mawlana Mohammad Hussain Gorgij, Mamousta Hassan Amini from Kurdistan, Dr. Jalal Jalalizadeh from Tehran and some other scholars have been forbidden by security agencies to take part in the 27th graduation ceremony of Darululoom Zahedan. It was held Thursday 12th April, 2018 in southeastern Zahedan.
