Islam Urged on Spouses to Realize Mutual Rights

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, in his latest Friday sermon of 2nd March, 2018, expressed the characters of a righteous woman and reminded spouses their bilateral rights.
The official website of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid reported his speech which was begun by the Noble verse of the Qur’an: «الرِّجَالُ قَوَّامُونَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بِمَا فَضَّلَ اللَّهُ بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ وَبِمَا أَنْفَقُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ فَالصَّالِحَاتُ قَانِتَاتٌ حَافِظَاتٌ لِلْغَيْبِ بِمَا حَفِظَ اللَّهُ»
He said: “Due to natural potentials of men, they were called guardians of their families. As wife and husband have a mutual life, Islam has urged on taking care of rights. The divine system has been designed to ease the life for human life; therefore every group of mankind has a head.”
“Every country has a leader or president, provinces have governors and tribes have chiefs and elders who take care of people’s issues and affairs. Allah Almighty, who knows the nature of all human beings completely, has appointed a guardian for every family and men have been introduced guardians of families,” Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan added more.
He said: “Allah has bestowed some natural talents to men; they can defend their children and wives. Supplying of housing, clothing, food and other needs is the duty of men. While women are internal deputies in their houses and they take care of home’s affairs.”
Referring to some Qur’anic verses, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the qualities of a righteous woman and said: “Wife and husband have equal rights; both of them should take care of their rights and respect each other. An honest woman maintains her dignity and modesty.”
“A good wife does not leave her home without the permission of her husband. She does not open the door to abnormal people. According to Hadith, the woman who obeys her husband and carries out the obligations will enter the Paradise as soon she passes away,” he added more.
The president of Darululoom Zahedan further said: “The beloved prophet, peace be upon him, has said the best of you is he who is best to his family, and I am the best among you to my family. Offense is forbidden from any side. Children and wives should be treated mercifully.”
“Spouses should forgive each other and forbear from mistakes they see. Such patience and forbears bring the Almighty’s rewards. Spouses may dislike some habits and characters of each other; but they may have some positive attitudes which exceed the negative ones,” he added more.
Khateeb of Sunnis called on men who have more than one wife to take care of justice among their wives and children.
He also called on parents and said: “There are lots of new problems in society; protect your children from them. For example, mobile phone is a divine blessing but some sinister people misuse it. Bad people misuse internet to destroy society and steal people’s modesty and chastity. Parents should be careful and protect faith and honesty of their children.”

In the last part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the presence of provincial governor of Sistan-Baluchistan, Eng. Danial Mohebbi, in the main gathering of Sunnis for the Friday prayers in Zahedan and welcomed him.
He said: “Being clean and righteous is very important character for any official. Our governor is also a righteous man and we hope he could decrease the pain and problems of people.
