Alumni of Darululoom Zahedan Meet their Teachers

A group of Darululoom Zahedan’s alumni from the northern province of Golestan met their teachers on Wednesday and Thursday, 28-29 Dec. 2017 in Zahedan, Iran.
SunniOnline reported, the two-day long meeting was organized by the office of Alumni of Darululoom Zahedan where they took part in different sessions listening to their senior teachers. As well as, the alumni presented reports on their academic and educational activities.

In the first session, the alumni met with Mawlana Abdol-Ghani Badri, vice-president of Darululoom Zahedan in educational affairs.

He said: “We should begin purification from ourselves, our children and families. Then study fitnas and try to eliminate them.”

“Run your activities in accordance with the circumstances of your area with ‘discretion’ and ‘consultation’. Make good relation with local Ulama as they should not feel you are rivals for them. Your relations with authorities and officials should be based on ‘cooperation’ in order to ensure them that you think of society’s reform,” the senior Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan pointed out.

He urged on his students to behave with other thoughts with ‘cooperation’ and ‘affability’ not ‘confrontation’. “Today we live in a world where by ‘confrontation’ no useful work can be done, while ‘cooperation’ is a good method and channel to get positive results,” Mawlana Badri underlined.

He recommended the alumni of Darululoom Zahedan to work hard in all fields of preaching and teaching Islamic sources. He termed “Qur’anic classes” the best way to stand against extremism in society.

Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi, a senior Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan also talked to the alumni gathered at the seminary. He said: “By worshipping only Allah we can be His real servants. Mawlana Saad says the most important activity of prophets was ‘to worship Allah’ and ‘call people towards Him’.”

The editor-in-chief of Neday Islam magazine alluded to conspiracies of enemies to uproot Islam and cut the ties of Muslims with the Qur’an and Sunnah and said: “Advise the Muslim nation fatherly with mercy and ruth. This nation needs mercy.”

Mufti Qasemi recommended the alumni to study the Seerah of the prophet, peace be upon him, and virtues of preaching as well as be aware of the enemies’ conspiracies to get mercy and ruth for Muslims.

Shaikh-ul-Islam: Ulama should carry out their duties with planning
In the last session of the meeting of Darululoom Zahedan’s alumni with their teachers, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid said: “The duty of ‘enjoining to good and forbidding from bad’ and ‘preaching the Qur’an and Sunnah’ has been put on the shoulders of Ummah, especially Ulama.”

“It is a very heavy duty to guide and educate people. Islam has been spread in the world by ‘thinking’, ‘struggle’ and ‘serious efforts’. We should not be heedless about sinful people,” he added more.

The president of Darululoom Zahedan added more: “The number of calamities has gone up. Earthquakes and wars have increased. There is no calmness and worries have increased. They are lashes of God. These calamities are the results of weakness in faith and acts.”

“The Noble Qur’an is the biggest miracle with the most influence. Teaching this great book is the main duty of Ulama. We can get victory by recitation, prayers, donations and acting upon Shari’ah and Mustahabbat/recommended acts,” he added more.

Shaikh-ul-Hadith of Darululoom Zahedan called on his students to make plans for the reformation of society and said: “Escapism from duties does not suit Ulama. If someone escapes from his duties, he will see the divine punishment. Think individually and congregationally how to carry out responsibilities.”

In another part of his speech, Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged on respecting law by people and authorities. He said: “Respect the law of Allah and country. But I mean the legal and written laws, not personal views of some officials which are not laws.”

He addressed Ulama and said: “Don’t be afraid of authorities’ personal laws and views. The constitution has given us freedom. If someone wants to restrict us, put the law before him, because all officials of the country owe their legitimacy to the constitution.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed the constitution a ‘national pact’ and called on all people and groups of the society to respect law. “Serving Islam is our duty, we should continue our duty without creating sensitivities,” he concluded his points.
