Iran: Annual Seerah Conference Held in Zahedan

The sixth annual conference on the life of the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, was held in the Grand Usmani Masjid of Zahedan on Saturday evening, Dec. 23, 2017.
“SunniOnline” reported the conference was held by Farouqia Islamic Seminary of Zahedan and Seerah Association where top Ulama of Zahedan city and a great number of students and male and female citizens took part in the conference.
As 225 essays, short texts and poems were received by the secretary of the conference from different parts of the country, writers of 37 essays were honored by medals.
Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid and Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi were two chief guests of the conference who talked to the audience in the final meeting.
Mufti Qasemi, the editor-in-chief of Neday Islam magazine said in his speech: “Human beings make themselves beloved to Allah, the angels and people by imitation of Sunnah.”
“Clean life, popularity, calmness, respect and prosperity can be achieved by imitating the Seerah of the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him,” he added more.
The Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan underlined: “The whole life of the Last Messenger is summarized in realizing the rights of self, people and the Creator. His life was on the path of avoiding extremisms”.
The president of Darululoom Zahedan also urged on imitation of the directions of the prophet Mohammad PBUH and said: “The most important point in the Seerah is acting on Shari’ah and the Noble Qur’an. His Sunnah was on the path of nature.”
“There is no any command in the Qur’an and Sunnah out of human power. Sunnah is the shortest way to reach to Allah,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out.
He expressed his regret on absence of prophetic directions in Muslims’ lives and said: “There is no any motivation in many Muslims to imitate Shari’ah and Sunnah.”
“The prophet PBUH and his companions did not tolerate misdeeds. They were strict about the rights of Allah and people. Enjoining to good and forbidding from bad is an inseparable part of the Seerah. But we are careless about people, society and family,” the famous Iranian Sunni scholar further said.
He added more: “The prophet PBUH was expositing of the Noble Qur’an by his acts and words. As Muslims we should imitate both of the Qur’an and Sunnah as the Qur’an itself orders.”
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid also called on the audience to be “pragmatic”. He said: “Do not restrict on writing and talking. We remember the Seerah of the prophet PBUH to act on his directions. Sunnah brings light and blessings in the life.”
He concluded his points by saying: “There is a quality in each act; the quality of Sunnah is to make human beings beloved to Allah.”
