The introductory meeting of new Sunni students of Zahedan universities was held inside the Grand Makki mosque by the Students’ Office of Darululoom Zahedan, Iran.
The official website of the Sunni community in Iran, SunniOnline, reported the introductory meeting of new Sunni students of universities of Zahedan was welcomed by the new students and their teachers and professors where dozens of Darululoom Zahedan’s teachers participated in the meeting, too.
Talking to the audience, Dr. Habibullah Salarzahi, a professor in universities of Zahedan termed mankind a ‘needy creature who fulfils his needs by recognizing them’.
“Every person is obliged to work hard for obtaining ‘social wealth’; while ‘bigotry’, ‘dispute’, ‘absence of cooperation and fraternity and unity’ are the fatal viruses for social wealth,” he added more.
Dr. Salarzahi addressed the students of colleges and universities to think globally and act regionally.
He said: “Spiritual wealth is the most important wealth which is the need of the world. Sectarian, narcotics, social media, infidelity and Westoxification are the main challenges in our society”.
Dr. Mojahed, a professor at the Medical University of Zahedan said in his short speech that students should not neglect the divine blessings given to every mankind. He said students need to get command and specialization in their fields and enjoy ‘strong social relations’, ‘spirituality’ and ‘language of the time’.
Mufti Qasemi: Knowledge heightens status of mankind
The senior Hadith teacher of Darululoom Zahedan also talked to the students and teachers of Darululoom Zahedan and universities. He addressed the students and said: “Whoever has played a role in your admission in college/university, thank him.”
Mufti Mohammad Qasem Qasemi said: “All sciences can be the examples of the Qur’anic verse: «علم الانسان ما لم یعلم»; “the One Who taught man all what he did not know [96:5]”. The condition is that intention should be correct.”
“Be careful, the sensualists want to make you ‘West-stuck’, ‘heedless’, ‘aberrant’ and ‘follower of church’. They create and spread suspicions and infidelity by social media and distribution of books. The weapon of knowledge and spirituality can protect you and heighten your position,” the editor-in-chief of Neday Islam magazine concluded his points.
Shaikh Ab. Hamid: Islam is the best shield
The first session of the introductory meeting of new students of universities in Zahedan ended with the speech of Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid.
He began his brief speech with the Qur’anic verse: «قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَالَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ», Proclaim, “Are the knowledgeable and the ignorant equal?” It is only the men of intellect who heed advice.
Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “All kinds of developments and worldly or everlasting blessings of the Hereafter depend on getting knowledge. It should not be learnt just for holding certificate, getting job, livelihood and position.”
Khateeb of Sunnis advised the students and said: “Student life is the best life. Strive to seek knowledge, act on the religious commands and be pious and bounded to the principles.”
