Israel Mustn’t Play with Muslims’ Religious Feelings

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid has warned the sinister regime of Israel to not play with the religious emotions of Muslims by blocking Masjid al-Aqsa. He also termed the ceremony of Friday prayers the “weekly gathering” of Muslims.
Talking to tens of thousands worshippers in the biggest Friday gathering of the Iranian Sunnis in Zahedan on 21st July, 2017: “In an unprecedented step, the Zionist regime closed Masjid al-Aqsa for the last Friday prayers, while it is one of the biggest and holiest mosques of Muslims.”
“We denounce this big crime strongly and warn the government of Israel to not play with the religious feelings of Muslims. Because this act not only brings the divine rage and anger, but also harms them politically and internationally,” Mawlana Abdol-Hamid urged.

Friday prayers; weekly gathering of Muslims
In the first of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed Friday a day with blessings and historical in the Islamic texts and culture.
He said: “Islam gives lots of importance to gathering of Muslims. Offering prayers in congregation is an example of this importance. Five-time daily prayers are offered in the mosques of towns and Friday prayers are offered in grand mosques.”
“The ceremony of the Friday prayers is in fact the weekly gathering of Muslims. Also, Muslims gather twice a year for Eid prayers where a bigger gathering takes place just to worship Allah,” he added more.
Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan cited some narrations about the importance of Friday and said: “Allah Almighty created Adam and his offspring on Friday. Adam entered the Paradise on Friday and was exiled on the same day. The resurrection day will be on Friday. This is a historical and blissful day.”
“Establishing the Friday prayers is an individual duty. The main rationale behind the Friday prayers is the gathering of Muslims in one place. Offering prayers in various mosques inside a city is against the main philosophy of the Friday prayers,” he underlined.
Pointing out to some rulings of Friday and virtues of the Friday prayers, Shaikh-ul-Islam Mawlana Abdol-Hamid called on the audience to gather for the prayers earlier.
He said: “When you come to offer the Friday prayers, the divine mercies will cover you. The one who leaves the Friday prayers without any legal excuse, the stamp of ‘hypocrisy’ will be on his heart. It means the man will lose the tendency and success of worshipping Allah.”
Concluding his points, the principal of Darululoom Zahedan called on Muslims to send blessings and prayers on the prophet, peace be upon him on Friday as he PBUH enjoined Muslims.
In the last part of his speech, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid conveyed the message of people over high rates of electricity in the recent bills. He asked the pertinent authorities to consider the unwanted economic condition of people in Zahedan and other areas.
