Uproot Narcotics by Producing Jobs & Drug Rehab

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid alluded to the dangerous consequences of narcotics for the society and termed ‘producing jobs’ and ‘drug rehab’ the productive ways to uproot narcotics.
Khateeb and Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan city said in his sermon of July 14, 2017: “Many of Muslims think that Islam is limited to offering prayers, paying Zakah and performing Hajj; these worships are very important but not enough to be a perfect Muslim. The whole life of a Muslim should be in accordance with Islam and the directions of Qur’an and Sunnah.”
“The one who carries out personal worships, but ignore the rights of people, he cannot be a perfect Muslim. A religious person enters in the circle of Islam completely and executes Islam in his life,” he added more.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid went on to say more about the awkwardness of ‘murder’ and said: “Allah Almighty has enrolled the sin of murder and killing innocents in the list of big misdeeds. After ‘kufr’ and ‘shirk’, the biggest sin is ‘unrighteous murder’. Even by offering prayers, observing fast and performing Hajj, the murderer cannot be a real perfect Muslim.”
He also termed ‘abduction’ one of the big sins which has been common in the region as some thug people abduct little boys and old men.
“Many of murders, robberies, abductions and inter-family conflicts have roots in the deals of narcotics. Narcotics destroy the human beings, families and it is a threat to the human society,” the rector and principal of Darululoom Zahedan urged.

Consequences of ‘capital punishment’ were heavy for society
The eminent Islamic scholar expressed his opposition with ‘capital punishment’ for trafficking drugs and narcotics.
He said: “I am against the punishment of execution and hanging for dealers and smugglers of narcotics. The 38 year long experience has showed that such punishments are fruitless.”
“Hanging has left very heavy consequences on the society. The negative effects of hanging narcotics smugglers have not been less than the effects of drugs. Lots of orphans and widows are the results of hanging. So this law should be changed,” Shaikh Abdol-Hamid underlined.
