Discrimination against Sunnis Should be Stopped

The eminent Iranian Sunni leader has urged on the implementation of the due rights of the Sunni community in Iran and end of discrimination against them.
Talking to thousands of worshipers gathered for participating in the conclusion of the Noble Qur’an in Tarawih prayers in the Grand Makki mosque of Zahedan at the 29th night of Ramadan 2017, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid said: “The option of sect from employment forms should be removed. Those who neglect the rights of others, they suffer from extremism and digression.”
“The due rights of all human beings should be respected. There should not be any discrimination among the people in our country. The Sunnis of Iran have been demanding for removal of the option of sect from the official forms,” he urged.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan stated: “We are against violence. We believe in sobriety and this opinion has been derived from the Noble Qur’an. God willing this opinion will be dominated in Iran.”
He condemned war and military contrast and said: “War is not in favor of any of us in Syria, Yemen and other parts of the world. Aerial bombardments and conflicts have given birth to lots of dilemmas and damages. Extremism has been boosted more than past.”
Khateeb of Sunnis termed “dialogue” and “negotiation” the only solutions for the ongoing crises in the Middle East.
Mawlana Abdol-Hamid concluded his points and said: “There should be facilities for Ulama and clergymen to pursue extremists. They can cite the Qur’an and Sunnah to convince them. By the praise of Allah we could bring many people to the straight path by this way.”
“We had no damages for the Islamic Republic of Iran and we have been on the correct route. We do not get suggestions from anyone but the Qur’an and Sunnah. Praise be to Allah, our nation is wise and the Sunni community is also a part of this nation. We ask our Shia brothers to help us in order to get our due rights,” the most influential Iranian Sunni scholar pointed.
It is noteworthy tens of thousands citizens gather each year at the 29th Ramadan night to participate in the ceremony of conclusion of the Qur’an at the Grand Makki Masjid of Zahedan.
