Following the biggest attack of Daesh in Iran, dozens of public figures denounced the attack. Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the most influential Iranian Sunni cleric and social leader also decried the attack on the parliament and shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini.
A statement released by the official website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid in which he described the attack “cowardly and sinister”.
“The stable situation of our country amid the insecurities of the Middle East and region has excited the enemies to target the peace of the country”, the statement adds.
He said: “Unless the nation is united, no one can divide us by such sinister attacks and terrorists who are not abided with any religion and principle.”
“The spread of terrorism around the world shows there is not any serious intention to eliminate violence and ruinous wars from the world. This is the time for Muslim states to be together in order to end the differences and eliminate violence,” the statement urges.
The rector of Darululoom Zahedan expressed his sympathy with the families of the victims and prayed to Allah for full and quick cure of the wounded citizens.
