Piety, the Biggest Achievement of Fasting in Ramadan

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the importance of piety terming it the cause of prosperity in the both worlds.

Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, talking to tens of thousands worshipers on Friday 1st July, 2016, said, “It can be understood from the study of the Noble Qur’an and Sunnah that each worship has been specified for some particular aims. Those commands are for the purification and edification of human beings. The philosophy of Islamic rulings is to boost people’s spiritual power.”
He called piety (taqwa) the biggest result of fasting and said, “Allah Almighty has declared fasting in Ramadan ‘obligatory’ to make us pious. Taqwa is the biggest fruit of fasting. The Qur’an is guidance for pious people; they can understand and act upon the Qur’an better than others. Thus we should recite the Qur’an during Ramadan more.”
Alluding to the effects of piety and taqwa in life, the eminent Islamic scholar said, “According to the Noble Qur’an ‘distinction’, ‘atonement of misdeeds’ ‘forgiveness’, ‘salvation’ and ‘provision’ are the fruits taqwa.”
“Taqwa is savior in the both worlds and it is the most beautiful dress for pious people. Pious human beings are beloved to Allah. It is the best outfit for the trip of the Hereafter,” he added more.
Shaikh concluded his points and said, “Taqwa means to take care of the rights of Allah and His servants. Piety means to protect from sins and bad acts in life. A pious person avoids misdeeds and never wastes others’ rights. It is the perfume of life that makes people luminous.”

Shaikh Abdol-Hamid pointed out to the cancelation of Ayatollah Isa Qassim’s nationality, a senior Bahraini Shia cleric, and said, “Ayatollah Isa Qassim, an outstanding Shia cleric in Bahrain, has lost his nationality due to his objections with the establishment of Bahrain.”
Reacting to the event, he said, “None of governments can revoke citizenship of their people –however they show opposition to the establishments. In such circumstance, instead of revoking citizenship there should be a dialogue; people’s due demands should not be ignored.”
“Unfortunately, sectarian, religious and political tensions have reached to their peak. I think those tensions are not religious, but they are political and ‘religion’ is misused only for provoking people’s religious feelings,” the rector of Darululoom Zahedan underlined.
In the last part of his sermon, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid termed ‘al-Quds Day’ an important event that reminds Muslims the occupation of the sinister Zionists on Palestine and Masjid al-Aqsa.
