Da’wah & its Need in the Current Era

Inviting towards Allah the Almighty is the duty of the prophet, peace be upon him, first of all and secondly the duty of Ummah. This is the only area which has been unoccupied yet on the map of the globe. If Muslims occupy it, they would benefit human beings and themselves forbidding the ‘civilized world’ from downfall and decadence.
Da’wah (enjoining people towards Allah) is for the guidance of all human beings to embrace Islam and implement the directions and teachings of it in their lives. In the current era, particularly after the collapse of Muslims’ unity due to the assaults and conspiracies of the enemies that has made the Muslim nation a toy in the hands of the Western states, Muslims need more than any other time sincere preachers to call on Ummah. There is the necessity of inviters who leave no stone unturned to bring Muslims on the track of prosperity.
Calling toward Allah is one of the best and most honorable deeds. Allah the Almighty says in the Noble Qur’an: “وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللَّـهِ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا وَقَالَ إِنَّنِي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ”; (And who is fairer in speech than he who calls to Allah and acts righteously and says: “I am a Muslim”?), [41: 33] Allah the Sublime had sent down prophets as inviters toward Him in all times. There had not been any nation but with a Daa’ie (preacher); “وَإِن مِّنْ أُمَّةٍ إِلَّا خَلَا فِيهَا نَذِيرٌ”; (Never has there been a nation but a warner came to it.), [35: 24]
The Sublime has termed Ulama, Muslim scholars, the inheritors of the prophets, peace be upon them, to maintain the process of calling on toward Allah. The revivers among learned Ulama have been dispatched during the history to get Muslims onto the straight path. The messenger of Allah said: “Allah shall send for this Ummah at the head of every hundred years a person who shall revive their religion for them“. (Abu-Dawood, Hakim, Baihaqi)
Since the beginning of the world, the prophets were struggling to purify people and guide them towards the straight path. It was continued until the dispatch of the last prophet, peace be upon him, as the door of prophet hood was closed by Islam, the last and chosen religion of Islam that cancelled all previous religions. And by the Noble Qur’an that would be protected by the Almighty until the last day of this world. So the prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, began his mission calling on all to believe in one Lord and lightened the world by the shining divine light removing the darkness of infidelity, shirk, heathenism and immorality. Then people entered in the circle of Islam in groups. His mission was continued by Muslims after his demise.
The Muslim nation cannot go forward but by the duty which has been assigned by its founder, peace be upon him. This duty is a clear message; the entire world does not have a message more justly than the message of Islam. This message needs no changes; it is fully comparable and executable in the 21st century as it was in the 6th century. Still people are worshipping their idols; monotheism is strange and subjugated yet. Still fake lords rule on; clerics, monks, kings, leaders, power & wealth holders and politicians are worshiped by their fans. Thus Muslim preachers should carry out their duty in the best way and prepare themselves for this divine duty. The world is awaiting such sincere and modest Ulama and preachers.
