Israeli forces kill two Palestinians in East Jerusalem

Two Palestinian have been killed by Israeli forces in East Jerusalem, with one of them shot dead after he allegedly stabbed an Israeli policeman in the Damascus Gate area.
According to Israeli police, the 38-year-old Palestinian from the occupied West Bank ran towards two border police officers with a knife and wounded one before being shot on Sunday.
The Damascus Gate is the main entry point for Palestinians to the walled Old City of Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem.
The other Palestinian, aged 17, was shot dead during a protest in Ras El-Amud area of East Jerusalem, the Palestinian health ministry reported.
Also on Sunday, a woman was allegedly stabbed and wounded by a Palestinian near a bus station in West Jerusalem.
The woman, originally thought to be an Israeli, holds foreign citizenship.
The suspect, a teenager from the occupied West Bank, fled the scene and was later found at a nearby construction site and arrested, according to Israeli police.
The latest attack raised the death toll to 103 Palestinians killed since early October. Twenty-one Israelis have also been killed after violence erupted in Jerusalem following Israeli incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
Violence swiftly spread to the flashpoint southern West Bank city of Hebron, where hundreds of Jewish settlers live under Israeli army guard among 200,000 Palestinians.
Meanwhile, the army shut down the Dream radio station in the city earlier on Sunday – the third private broadcaster in Hebron it has closed – after being accused of stoking the violence.
An Israeli minister raised the threat last week of shutting down Palestinian public broadcasters too, alleging they were guilty of fanning the flames.
