Recent rainfall in Sistan & Baluchistan province has caused heavy losses on residents of Daeeabad, a north-eastern outskirt of Zahedan, Iran.
According to a report of “SunniOnline”, coincided with the arrival of a rainfall system in Sistan& Baluchistan some areas around Zahedan were heavily affected.
Our reporters, who have visited Daeeabad town, said: After rainfalls which started on Friday afternoon, 16 Oct, 2015 and lasted until the evening of Sunday, this town has been seriously damaged.
According to surveys conducted, nearly 500 houses have seriously been damaged. A number of houses destroyed completely. Due to flowing of water in some homes up to one meter, the appliances, particularly electronic machines, have been stuck in the mud. Most of them have been broken.
According to some local residents, “flood has propelled along with itself a lot of animals”. The affected residents had complaints from the relief work style.
A number of locals told our reporters, “They know ‘the stenosis of water canal’ as the main cause for flooding of river and damage to houses and other belonging of people”.
They also said: “Taking the necessary measures including the opening of water route, and notice of Disaster Task Force in the province could prevent the occurrence of this traumatic event”.
However, fortunately there has not been any casualty, but some people have been injured due to collapse of houses.
