IRAN – ZAHEDAN: The academic year of 1436-37 H (2015-2016) has been started in the Islamic seminaries of Sunnis in the southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan, Iran.
“SunniOnline” reports academic year begins in most of the Islamic seminaries of Sistan-Baluchistan in the 10th lunar month, Shawwal, and ends in Rajab, the 7th month of lunar calendar.
There are 60 seminaries within the province affiliated with the Coordination Council of Sunni Seminaries in Sistan-Baluchistan. Darululoom Zahedan is the biggest Islamic learning seminary that provides free education in Persian and Arabic languages.
The specialization courses of Darululoom Zahedan also began their works on Saturday 15th August, 2015 in presence of Mufti Muhammad Qasem Qasemi, supervisor of the Specialization Courses, and Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, the rector of Darululoom Zahedan.
In the inauguration meeting, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid urged on the necessity of ‘purity in intentions’ and said, “Whatever we do, it should be for the sake of Allah. Specialization must not be just for name and titles.”
He urged on the quality of these courses and said, “The study of teachers should be comprehensive and up-to-date. Educating and preaching are two main and important tools of spreading Islam. You should learn the language of time and your nation.”
There are seven courses in Fiqh, Hadith, Da’wah, Tafseer, Tajweed, Journalism and Arabic literature for graduates at Darululoom Zahedan, Iran.
