The Iranian prominent Sunni scholar has expressed his condolences on the departure of Shaikh Harith al-Dhari.
Dr. Harith al-Dhari, the secretary general of the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq, was 74.
According to the website of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid’s office, he has expressed his condolences in a letter to the Muslim Ummah in general and to the Iraqi nation in particular.
In a part of his letter, Khateeb of Sunnis in Zahedan, Iran, has said: “We have received the news of Dr. Shaikh Harith al-Dhari’s departure that made us deeply sad and woeful. We convey our condolences to the Muslim Ummah generally and to the Iraqi nation and the ‘Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq’ particularly.”
At the end of his letter, sent by the office of Mawlana Abdol-Hamid, he prayed to Allah for full forgiveness of the late Iraqi Sunni leader, Shaikh Harith Sulayman al-Dhari.
