Zahedan’s Sunnis Decry ‘Charlie Hebdo’

Zahedan – Iran: Tens of thousands Sunni worshippers denounced blasphemous French journal and its supporters on Friday, 23 Jan. 2015.
‘SunniOnline’ reported thousands of worshippers held a protesting rally after Friday prayers from Raazi Street to Khayyam Road of Zahedan. The protesters chanted slogans against ‘Charlie Hebdo’ magazine and some Western leaders including French president and British PM.
The rally was led by the prominent Islamic scholars and teachers of Darululoom Zahedan, the biggest Islamic Sunni seminary of the Sunni community in Iran.
Before the prayers, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi, Friday Imam of Sunnis in Zahedan, called on the audience to take part in the protesting rally to defend the honor of the Last Messenger, peace be upon him, and decry the Western insulting journals.
