The incident took place in Lalmonirhat district in the north of Bangladesh during the strike called by the Jamaat-e-Islami party in protest of the execution of Abdul Quader Molla for committing war crimes in 1971 independence war of Bangladesh.
According to sources, three men died of the bullet injuries after being taken to a hospital.
The incident comes in a series of violence that has erupted across Bangladesh, killing least 24 people since Molla’s execution on Thursday.
