Shaikh Ab. Hamid Asks IR president to Peruse Sunni Prisoners’ Case

The outstanding Iranian Sunni leader, Shaikh Abdol-Hamid Isma’eelzahi, has called on the president Hassan Rouhani to peruse the case of Sunni prisoners in the Qazal Hisar jail of Karaj who have gone on hunger strike.

 

The office of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid has issued a statement informing that he has asked the Iranian president, Dr. Hassan Rouhani, in a letter to use his influence to find the fact about the matter of Sunni activists in the and review the issued punishments of death. He has reminded the president his status, watchman of the rights of every citizen, requesting him to interfere in the case and review the verdict of the court via the judiciary.

In a part of the letter of Shaikh Abdol-Hamid, Khateeb of Sunnis and rector of Darululoom Zahedan, has come: “Your wisdom and discretion can halt negative propagandas of the enemies of Iran who misuse such incidents to defame Iran and Islam. It would make many happy, as it would cause the pleasure of Allah.”

It should be noted that dozens of Sunni citizens, mostly Kurd, are in the Qazal Hisar prison waiting of their execution.
